Job Summary: The Instructional Coach is responsible for supporting a culture of clarity and accountability in pedagogy and best practices, based on our mission, Core Values, and Biblical perspective.
Instructional Coaches observe, support, and provide resources for teachers while working directly with administration in executing identified priorities with the goal of increasing student engagement, improving student achievement & growth, and building teacher capacity.
General Responsibilities:

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Works collaboratively with administration on identified instructional or academic priorities for the campus, departments, and individual teachers
- Plan and facilitate support, training, and professional development for individual faculty, small groups, and large group as directed by the Principal and/or DCL
- Assist individual teachers in developing unit and lesson plans
- Regularly observe teachers to determine areas of opportunities and supply feedback to teachers and the Director of Curriculum and Learning to inform future PD offerings.
- Model lessons, when appropriate.
- Collaborate with School Administrators, Librarians, and technology staff to ensure infrastructure and tools are available to carry out school initiatives
- Facilitate the implementation of the TfT framework
- Support teachers in designing Formational Learning Experiences.
- Collaborate in the evaluation, selection and implementation of instructional technology materials, digital curriculum, and software
- Regularly collaborate with the Student Academic Services (SAS) department to support differentiation
- Research best practices that support 21st century learning skills and the BCS Portrait of a Graduate
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to job responsibilities and maintaining expertise in the field.

Qualifications (required):
- BA/BS from an accredited college/university
- Minimum three years successful teaching experience;
- Current Washington Teaching Certification

Summary:
The Elementary Counselor is responsible for providing counseling and support services for elementary students, families and teachers.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present regularly scheduled K – 6 classroom lessons using the guidelines outlined in BCS Curriculum Trak, Elementary Counselor file.
- Provide short-term counseling services to students, parents and staff which are biblically based and consistent with the BCS philosophy of Christian Education
- Provide service for families in crisis relationship situations (illness, death, divorce, blended families, single parenting, abuse, relocation)
- Plan and oversee annual Sex Education program for 4th – 6th students and parents.
- Be available for speaking opportunities with parent and faculty groups
- Provide teacher training and support for classroom management techniques and restorative discipline strategies
- Provide teacher training for identification and reporting of state mandated child abuse situations
- Train and assist students in using conflict resolution skills and anger management techniques
- Provide support and counseling to students with low self-esteem, peer relationship challenges, and/or frequent misbehaviors in the classroom and on the playground
- Works collaboratively with various school personnel including educational assistants, playground aides, and SAS therapists
- Alternates attendance at faculty meetings at elementary school campuses
- Works to establish relationships with other support professionals, i.e. therapists, doctors, clergy
- Responds to all inquiries/parent communication in a timely manner

Summary:
The College & Career Counselor will work with students, parents, and faculty over the course of their secondary career to guide students toward their calling by developing a strategy and direction for applying to four-year universities or other programs.

Caseload Management
1. Meet with students and parents to develop relationships leading to and completing the college application process.
2. Annual and periodic review of each student’s coursework.
3. Hold academic consultations with students and parents, as needed.
4. Develop college preparation and application game plan with juniors and seniors.
5. Help students with the college scholarship process. Requires familiarity with scholarship search programs.
6. Serve as counselor for international students
7. Write letters of recommendation for college and scholarship applications.
8. Support the Provost in writing school reports and updating the BCS School Profile.
9. Keep updated and accurate records of college acceptances, scholarships, and awards.
10. Lead PSAT, ACT, testing and AP testing.
College Counseling Programming
1. Encourage interest in Christian higher education.
2. Develop relationships with college representatives to promote BCS and its community
3. Plan and execute educational programming for students in 7th-12th grade (eg. during Office Hours) and their parents (eg. virtual evening events) for topics such as the application process, financial aid, FAFSA, scholarship opportunities, standardized testing, and importance of GPA.
4. Host annual Christian College Fair.
5. Display thorough knowledge of college admission testing.
6. Keep updated and accurate records of college acceptances, scholarships, and awards.
7. Utilize and encourage use of technology for college and scholarship information.
8. Become proficient in use of school’s administrative software.
9. Assist students with college visits and contacts with specific colleges
10. Design classroom programming that meets the real needs of students (eg. college essays)
11. Evaluate Naviance and provide recommendation to Principal of future software (eg. Naviance, SCOIR, CIALFO, and MairaLearning)
Communication and School Community
1. Develop relationships with administration, counselors, international staff, and faculty members and communicate as needed for specific student issues.
2. Publicize literature through the year (eg. newsletter, emails) on literature related to colleges, financial aid, guidance, testing, special programs, and application changes
3. Attend all faculty meetings.
4. Maintain timely communication with students and their families.
5. Participate in daily school meetings (eg. chapel, assembly).
6. Attend various events such as Orientation, Back-to-School Night, and student trips.
7. Support non-instructional times such as morning greeting, lunch, and office hours.
Professional Growth
1. Keep current in college admission policies, eligibility, NCAA, etc., through attendance at seminars and conferences.
2. Maintain appropriate certificates and credentials.
3. Participation and leadership in professional organizations such as NACCAP, NACAC, PNACAC, the College Board, and ACT.

Technology Coordinator - Clyde Hill
Technology Coordinator

Job Summary: The Technology Coordinator’s primary focus is relationship between technology and our customer, assisting all Bellevue Christian (BCS) faculty, staff and students with technology issues, to provide implementation expertise and education to faculty and staff, and to bring new technologies and practices into the classroom and offices to improve BCS as a whole. Such tasks and support will range from providing helpdesk-style support for teachers and staff such as troubleshooting a projector or desktop to working with teachers and staff to improve educational and corporate processes.
General Responsibilities:
- Model a commitment to Jesus Christ and Christian education as a profession and calling and maintain knowledge of scripture and a positive testimony
- Model an attitude of Christ-like servanthood, cooperation, judgment, and accountability
- As a part of the Technology Department support the school’s technology needs in a manner that is God-honoring in every dimension
- Maintain knowledge of scripture and a positive testimony in words and actions
- Display patience, honesty, and emotional maturity
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level support for BCS production services – troubleshoot server/client/network technical problems as they arise and act as a point of escalation for complicated issues
- Leverage knowledge of the desktop applications to help all staff
- Facilitate with the Technology Manager the planning of system and feature upgrades across this school
- Facilitate teacher’s use of technology in the classroom; consult, evaluate, train, and implement technology (hardware and software) that will fundamentally improve the education process at Bellevue Christian.
- Facilitate staff’s use of technology in the office environment; consult, evaluate, train, and implement technology (hardware and software) that will fundamentally improve the day-to-day running of the Bellevue Christian business.
- Enforce system and network security procedures.
- Participate in scheduled off-hours infrastructure upgrades.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of all computer assets, as necessary
- Perform other projects as assigned by Technology Manager
- User Account Setup/Maintenance
- Create network account for new students/staff: Move student accounts from elementary campuses to main campus, Account cleanup, Deleting old accounts, Reset passwords
Qualifications (required):
- Bachelor’s degree in related computer field such as IT or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years’ experience configuring all manner of desktop applications on local clients
- Proven ability to manage tasks to completion
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Great interpersonal skills in supporting internal customers
- Experience connecting computers/equipment to wired and wireless networks
- Ability to create user facing documentation as required
- Some knowledge of the Windows family of operating systems, including Windows Server, Windows 10, as well as Apple platforms
- Entry level experience supporting Microsoft Active Directory domains and setup of accounts
- Some background with automated Windows deployment
- Some understanding of the Microsoft Email and Office family of products
Qualifications (desired):
- 1-3 years’ experience with client and server hardware platforms
- 1-3 years administration experience in Microsoft based production environments
- 1-3 years creating system specifications and maintenance documentation
- 1-3 years’ experience with Apple products
Work Requirements:
- Work is generally performed inside, sitting, within an office environment or classroom, with standard office equipment.
- Occasional bending may be needed
- Occasional lifting (less than 50 pounds) may be required.
- Occasional driving between locations (between 5 – 20 miles) is required
