Job Summary: The Instructional Coach is responsible for supporting a culture of clarity and accountability in pedagogy and best practices, based on our mission, Core Values, and Biblical perspective.
Instructional Coaches observe, support, and provide resources for teachers while working directly with administration in executing identified priorities with the goal of increasing student engagement, improving student achievement & growth, and building teacher capacity.
General Responsibilities:
- Support the Vision and Mission of Bellevue Christian School
- Model a commitment to Jesus Christ and to Christian education as a profession and calling

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Works collaboratively with administration on identified instructional or academic priorities for the campus, departments, and individual teachers
- Plan and facilitate support, training, and professional development for individual faculty, small groups, and large group as directed by the Principal and/or DCL
- Assist individual teachers in developing unit and lesson plans
- Regularly observe teachers to determine areas of opportunities and supply feedback to teachers and the Director of Curriculum and Learning to inform future PD offerings.
- Model lessons, when appropriate.
- Collaborate with School Administrators, Librarians, and technology staff to ensure infrastructure and tools are available to carry out school initiatives
- Facilitate the implementation of the TfT framework
- Support teachers in designing Formational Learning Experiences.
- Collaborate in the evaluation, selection and implementation of instructional technology materials, digital curriculum, and software
- Regularly collaborate with the Student Academic Services (SAS) department to support differentiation
- Research best practices that support 21st century learning skills and the BCS Portrait of a Graduate
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to job responsibilities and maintaining expertise in the field.

Qualifications (required):
- BA/BS from an accredited college/university
- Minimum three years successful teaching experience;
- Current Washington Teaching Certification

Job Summary: Responsible for the operation and administration of the campus library.
General Responsibilities:
1. The Elementary Librarian working in the elementary library should model to students, colleagues, and the Bellevue Christian School community an attitude of Christ-like servanthood, cooperation, accuracy, and accountability. He/she must be prepared to answer questions with a spirit of patience and honesty. Conflicts that arise are to be resolved through the Matthew 18 principle.
2. The goal of Bellevue Christian School employees is to prepare young people to live fully for God in a rapidly changing world, with the ability to understand, evaluate and transform their world from the foundation of God’s unchanging values.
3. The Elementary Librarian is responsible to budget for and initiate all acquisitions for the elementary library.
- A. Receive faculty, staff and student input regarding desired books, databases, eBooks, magazines, material, and equipment acquisitions. Be aware of new classes or units to be taught.
- B. Review, research and keep abreast of new publications, series, computer software and other resources of value to educators and their students.
- C. Maintain list of standing orders, review current collection, and prepare Learning Resource Budget requests.
- D. Order books, magazines and other materials as necessary throughout the year.
- E. Keep inventory of all school audio visual equipment and facilitate departmental requests for additional equipment.
4. The librarian is responsible for efficient management of the LRC.
- A. Maintain and update Destiny catalog or current cataloging system: update Destiny at least twice yearly with student information imports from SIS, add student photos once a year, manage Destiny updates & upgrades throughout the year through PSESD, and learn and apply new features and capabilities with each one.
- B. Process all new acquisitions in preparation for check-out and use.
- C. Manage efficient circulation including check-in, check-out, self-maintenance, and proper notification and fee collection in the event of lost materials.
- D. Manage regular inventory of all books and material, including maintenance of a current shelf list.
- E. Train and supervise parent volunteers and student library aides in the above routine operations of library maintenance.
- F. Continue the use and update of the Procedure Manual to facilitate the above.
- G. Promote use of the school library by students and faculty.
- H. Keep the school library tidy and its resources accessible.
- I. Follow procedures established for challenged materials as outlined in the paper on Procedures for Handling Complaints on Library Materials.
- J. Keep current on copyright issues, intellectual property rights, Fair Use and ethical use of information as it applies to schools.
- K. Encourage the use of instructional technology to engage students and improve learning, providing 24/7 access to digital information resources for the entire learning community.
- L. Collaborate with the District Lead Librarian and other campus librarians and faculty.
5. The librarian is responsible to function as a member of the secondary faculty.
- A. Work with students in a spirit of genuine Christian love and demonstrate a vital living relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
- B. Participate in extra-curricular activities, committees, staff meetings, etc. as deemed necessary by the administration.
- C. Work with and advise the school faculty, staff and administration in a way which promotes community and in accordance with Biblical principles.

Job Summary:

General Responsibilities:
