Open Positions - Certified/Teaching

Long-Term Substitute – Elementary Librarian

Mack Elementary Campus | Woodinville, WA 

Salary: $26.00/hour

Start Date: Around May 4, 2026 – December 2026

Responsibilities: Curriculum implementation and classroom management of the elementary Library.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington State Certification (preferred)
  • Valid Teaching Certification – any state (required)
  • Demonstrated Christian commitment and relationship with Jesus Christ and being active in a local church. (required)
  • Prior teaching experience (desired)

Additional Details:

  • Required OSPI fingerprint/background clearance

Staff Positions

After School Program Manager

Mack Elementary & Three Points Elementary Schools | Woodinville, WA

Working Hours: Part-Time, 2:45-6:15pm Monday-Friday

Salary: between $21.61 – $25.34 per hour, depending on experience

Job Summary:

The After School Program (ASP) manager will have overall responsibility for the design and implementation of BCS’s ASP program. As the After School Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the educational experience of our students by planning, implementing, and overseeing a wide range of after-school activities. You will be responsible for coordinating various programs, recruiting, and training staff, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants. Your creativity, organization, and passion for providing students with opportunities for personal growth and development will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Development:

  • Develop and implement a wide range of engaging after-school activities program that aligns with the interests and needs of students.
  • Create a yearly calendar of activities and events, considering both academic and recreational options.

Staff Recruitment and Training:

  • Recruit, hire, and train a team of qualified activity leads and helpers.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance for staff.

Safety and Supervision:

  • Establish and enforce safety protocols and guidelines for all activities and events.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
  • If not on campus and the lead is on campus, the program manager will be on call from 2:45-6:15.

Student Supervision and Engagement

  • Actively supervise students indoors and outdoors; remain attentive and always maintain safety.
  • Welcome and manage all students not picked up immediately after school, including those staying for aftercare or transitioning to enrichment classes.
  • Build relationships with students, promote group cohesion, and foster a respectful and inclusive environment.
  • Encourage positive play, help students’ problem-solve, and support social-emotional development.

Communication and Promotion:

  • Communicate program offerings, schedules, and updates to students, parents, and the school community.
  • Develop marketing materials to promote the program and attract new participants.

Evaluation and Improvement:

  • Monitor the effectiveness of activities and collect feedback from participants to continually improve the program.
  • Make data-driven decisions to enhance the quality of offerings.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with school administration to ensure alignment with academic goals and school values.

Additional Details:

  • Must work in a manner satisfactory to supervisor.
  • Use tact and courtesy when dealing with parents, students, teachers, and administrators.

Work Requirements:

  • Ability to speak before groups of people with poise, voice control and confidence
  • Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, with the potential of extended periods of standing.
  • Occasional bending as needed
  • Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds) may be needed.
  • Reliable vehicle needed to travel between locations (5-20 miles)

Bus Driver

District-wide | Designated Bus Routes

Shifts can start in Renton, Woodinville or Bellevue!

Salary: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour

Working Hours: 6 hours/day guaranteed during school year, job share/part-time will be considered

Responsibilities:

  • This person is responsible for driving a designated regular school bus route daily.
  • Additional hours for athletic and special activities may be available.
  • Six hours/day guaranteed during school days.
  • Will consider job-share if candidate is interested in a 2-3 day/week schedule

Benefits package includes: Paid time off includes paid sick/personal time. Up to 50% tuition discount at BCS for dependents.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • CDL type B driver’s license with airbrakes and school bus ‘P’ & ‘S’ endorsement
  • At least 3 years of experience as a licensed driver of a passenger vehicle
  • Satisfactorily completed a school bus training course administered by an authorized school bus instructor.
  • Demonstrated Christian commitment and relationship with Jesus Christ and being active in a local church.
  • Certified in CPR/First Aid (BCS can train upon hire)
  • Background check includes: fingerprinting and FBI background check.

Substitute Teaching

All Campuses | Ongoing

Salary: $73.50 for 1-3 hours/day; $147.00 for all day

Working Hours: School Hours – will vary according to assignment

Responsibilities: Implement curriculum; class management of self-contained classroom

Requirements:

  • Current OSPI fingerprint/background clearance (BCS will facilitate)
  • In agreement with BCS doctrinal statement.

Requirements:

  • Required OSPI fingerprint/background clearance
  • Must have STARS ID and completed the licensing pre-service requirements (background check, fingerprints, TB test)
  • Child Care Basics course, CPR/First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens & Food Handlers permit. 
  • Must be in agreement with BCS Doctrinal Statement
  • Demonstrated Christian commitment and relationship with Jesus Christ and being active in a local church. (required)
