One of the greatest joys of life at Bellevue Christian School is watching students step into who God has created them to be—using their gifts, growing in confidence, and encouraging others along the way. From the classroom to the stage to leadership opportunities beyond campus, our students continue to show us what it looks like to pursue excellence with humility and purpose.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve had the privilege of celebrating several meaningful student accomplishments and experiences. Each one tells a story—not just of success, but of faith, perseverance, and community. We’re excited to shine a spotlight on these moments and say how proud we are of our Vikings.

Alumni Encouraging Alumni: A Chapel Conversation That Looked Forward and Back

During a chapel service in early January, we welcomed five Bellevue Christian alumni back to campus—not as students, but as college freshmen navigating a brand-new season of life. As guests on the Viking Podcast, these recent graduates shared honestly about their early college experiences, the challenges of transition, and how their faith has continued to grow since leaving BCS.

For our current students—especially those preparing for graduation—it was a powerful moment. Hearing familiar faces speak candidly about balancing academics, independence, and spiritual life helped bridge the gap between high school and what comes next. The conversation was thoughtful, encouraging, and deeply rooted in reflection on how God continues to guide each step.

We are grateful to our alumni for taking time out of their Christmas break to return to campus and invest in the next generation of Vikings. Their willingness to share both joys and uncertainties reminded us that learning doesn’t stop at graduation—and that faith remains a steady foundation through every transition.

DECA Students Shine in Year Two of a Growing Program

In just its second year, the Bellevue Christian DECA Club is already making an impressive impact. Last month, BCS DECA students competed at the DECA Area Competition, and their hard work truly paid off.

Six students placed in the top 25 in their respective events, with four earning top-12 finishes and advancing to the DECA State Competition on February 26–28. From there, students will have the opportunity to qualify for the DECA International Competition this April in Atlanta, Georgia—a remarkable achievement for such a young program.

We are proud to recognize the following student medalists:

  • Simone Loving-Williams – Top 25 Area
  • CiCi Cui – Qualified for State
  • Makenna Hall – 6th Overall, Qualified for State
  • Emily Eggers – 6th Overall, Qualified for State
  • Gabriella Daniel – 10th Overall, Qualified for State
  • Carmen Miao – 10th Overall, Top 25 Area

These accomplishments reflect more than competitive success. DECA students develop leadership, teamwork, communication, and ethical decision-making—skills that align closely with our mission to prepare students for lives of purpose and service. We’re thankful for the dedication of these students and the mentors who support them every step of the way.

Using God-Given Gifts to Tell Powerful Stories on Stage

It was also a busy and exciting weekend for our BCS theatre students, who participated in the 2026 Washington Thespies regional competition. Their commitment, creativity, and courage were on full display as they represented Bellevue Christian among peers from across the region.

Our theatre troupe exemplifies what it means to use God-given talents to glorify Him and communicate truth through storytelling. Whether through performance, technical work, or collaboration behind the scenes, these students approached their craft with excellence and heart.

We’re thrilled to share that this talented group will be back in action at the State competition this March. We look forward to cheering them on and seeing how they continue to grow as artists, teammates, and leaders.

Grateful for a Community That Helps Students Flourish

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do. Student accomplishments are never achieved in isolation—they’re supported by families, teachers, coaches, advisors, and a Christ-centered community that believes in walking alongside students as they grow.

To our Vikings: we are so proud of you. Thank you for representing Bellevue Christian School with integrity, enthusiasm, and faith. We can’t wait to see what God has in store next.
