Symphonic Wind Ensemble is an audition-based OR teacher recommendation group of musicians who
demonstrate high proficiency in sight reading and musicianship and have taken or are taking private lessons.
- Auditions held in May for the following school year
- Four evening concerts in October, December, March or April, and June, plus participation in the Eastshore Band Festival, Solo and Ensemble, and a band tour every three years
- Required Outside of Class Workload: weekly practice time 150 minutes per week; mandatory attendance at all concerts and festivals
- Additional Class Expenses: Instrument, accessories and maintenance, concert uniform consisting of black pants or long skirt and black shirt, black shoes
