On any given day at Bellevue Christian School, you’ll find students leaning into big ideas. They’ll be debating literature, solving complex equations, and asking thoughtful questions about the world and their place in it. In our Advanced Placement (AP) classrooms, that curiosity is paired with academic rigor, spiritual grounding, and a deep sense of purpose. The result? Students who are challenged, supported, and equipped for life beyond high school.

We are grateful—and humbled—to share that Bellevue Christian has been recognized by the College Board with the Platinum AP School Honor Roll for the second year in a row. This highest level of recognition reflects not only strong AP participation and performance, but also a schoolwide commitment to helping students thrive academically while staying rooted in who God has created them to be.

A Culture of Challenge and Care

You probably think of AP classes as demanding—and they are. But at Bellevue Christian, rigor never exists in isolation. Our AP courses are intentionally designed to stretch students’ thinking while surrounding them with encouragement, mentorship, and care.

Our AP teachers are experts in their subject areas and passionate educators who know their students well. They challenge learners to think critically, write clearly, and engage deeply with complex material, all while modeling perseverance and humility. It’s much more than test preparation. AP classes here are about forming disciplined thinkers who understand that effort, growth, and faith often go hand in hand.

Consequently, parents often tell us they notice a difference—not just in their student’s academic confidence, but in their maturity and self-awareness. AP students learn how to manage their time, advocate for themselves, and work through challenges with resilience. These are skills that matter long after the exam is over.

Faith at the Center of Academic Excellence

What truly sets Bellevue Christian School apart is how we weave faith into every part of the learning experience—including our most advanced courses. In AP classrooms, students are encouraged to wrestle with ideas through a biblical lens, asking not only what they are learning, but why it matters.

We believe that academic excellence and spiritual formation are not competing priorities. Instead, they strengthen one another. Therefore, as students explore history, science, literature, and mathematics at a college level, they are also invited to reflect on God’s truth, justice, and creativity. This integration helps students develop a grounded confidence. It prepares them to engage thoughtfully and compassionately with the world.

Preparing Students for College—and Beyond

Participation in AP courses can open doors for students, from earning college credit to standing out in the admissions process. But our ultimate goal is not simply strong transcripts. It’s preparing students for their next steps with clarity, courage, and conviction.

Bellevue Christian graduates go on to attend a wide range of colleges and universities, well-prepared for the academic expectations they’ll encounter. Our high school profile reflects consistent AP engagement and outcomes. More importantly, behind those numbers are students who have learned how to persevere, collaborate, and lead with integrity.

We are especially proud of our AP students for their persistence and commitment. Choosing a challenging course load takes courage. Seeing students rise to that challenge—supported by teachers, families, and faith—is one of the great joys of our work.

A Place Where Students Are Known

For families exploring high school options, we know the decision goes far beyond course offerings. It’s about finding a place where your child will be known, challenged, and supported—academically, socially, and spiritually.

At Bellevue Christian School, AP classes are one expression of our broader mission. We strive to educate students in mind, body, and spirit, preparing them to live lives of purpose and service. We invite students who are eager to learn deeply, think boldly, and grow faithfully to discover what’s possible here.

If you’re looking for a school where academic rigor meets Christ-centered community, we’d love to welcome you and share more about the Bellevue Christian experience.
