On quiet mornings before the first bell, when the cool Pacific Northwest air settles over the courtyard, you can almost feel the gentle weight of our school’s history. Generations of young minds have sat in these classrooms, learned to see truth in every discipline, and stepped out into the world to live faithfully for God. Though years pass and our campus grows, a quiet promise remains woven into the fabric of our community: once a Viking, always a Viking.

Education at Bellevue Christian School has always been about more than just moving a child from one grade to the next. We exist to prepare image-bearers who love God with their minds and serve their neighbors with humility and purpose. When our graduates step into the world, they carry the seeds of scholarship, relationship, and discipleship into every sphere of culture. Yet, the story of being a Viking does not end when they walk across the stage at graduation. In many ways, that moment is where their kingdom impact begins.

The Bridge Across Generations

There is a profound beauty in watching the ways God connects our past with our present. When older generations share their journeys, they lay down a steady pathway for those coming behind them. They demonstrate what it looks like to navigate career changes, family life, and civic leadership with faith as their guide.

We see this enduring legacy in people like Fran August, a retired bus driver and alumni parent who spent years greeting students with her legendary warmth, proving that every interaction on campus can reflect the fruits of the Spirit. We see it in alumni like Nicole Zasowski, who traces her journey as an author and marriage & family therapist back to the supportive relationships she built with her high school teachers. We see it, too, when former students like Nathan Parsons or Holly Porter share how the foundational support of teachers and peers prepared them to step confidently into God’s calling for their lives.

Every story of a former student serves as a beacon for our current families. Their lives offer living proof that the foundation built here holds firm through every season.

Staying Connected to the Mission

To honor these journeys and keep our community connected to the heart of what God is doing here, we are grateful to highlight our updated alumni space on our website. Through our dedicated BCS Alumni Page, former students, parents, and friends of the school can read inspiring stories, catch up on news across our campuses, and see how the seeds planted years ago continue to bear fruit today.

This online destination serves as a digital gathering place. It allows our extended school family to read about fellow Vikings who are shaping their communities and submit their own stories to encourage current students. It is a simple tool, but our hope is that it serves as an inviting window into the ongoing work of God across generations.

Investing in the Next Generation

When an alumnus takes time to share their journey, return to campus to encourage high school seniors, or support our educational programs, they participate in a sacred act of stewardship. They are investing in students so that their futures may bear fruit. The academic curiosity and spiritual resilience we cultivate in our classrooms exist in large part because of the faithfulness of those who paved the way.

As we look toward the future, we do so with gratitude for every family and student who has contributed to our story. God continues to write a beautiful narrative in this place, and our alumni remain a living, thriving testament to His goodness.
