Scripture is not an extra attachment to our schedule or a quick thought squeezed into the lesson before the morning bell. At Bellevue Christian School, Bible study sits at the center of our academic structure and personal discipleship.
When we talk about Christian education, we mean that every subject offers a way to love God with our minds. Our commitment to scholarship encourages students to ask deep questions, examine truth, and see how God’s story spans across history, science, art, and literature. Scripture is treated with the rigor and care of a primary academic text, alongside the reverence of a living conversation with our Creator.
We see our students as image-bearers of God, capable of rich reflection and serious study. When we engage with Scripture, we learn to understand its historical context, literary structure, and overarching Good News of redemption. We pray that as our students learn to analyze the text, their hearts are transformed by their Creator.
Growing Step by Step Through the Years
Discipleship is a lifelong journey, and our curriculum meets students right where they are in their spiritual and intellectual growth.
Foundational Roots. In our Elementary School classrooms, children build a foundation of biblical knowledge. They learn the core stories of God’s faithfulness, learn verses that stay tucked in their hearts, and discover that they are known and loved by Jesus.
Deeper Exploration. As students transition into junior high, their natural curiosity turns toward deeper questions. Through dedicated Old Testament and New Testament survey courses, they walk through the biblical narrative to see how every promise, prophecy, and historical moment points forward to Christ.
Thoughtful Application. By the time students enter High School, Bible coursework provides practical preparation for life beyond our campus. Our updated progression guides high schoolers through four foundational pillars:
- Biblical Worldview: Students construct a clear theology of creation, God, humanity, and the future while learning to listen respectfully to differing perspectives.
- Biblical Interpretation: Students master tools to study Scripture accurately, using biblical principles to navigate complex modern issues and ethical questions with grace.
- Apologetics: Students explore the relationship between faith and reason, confront challenging questions, and learn to articulate their beliefs with empathy and confidence.
- Introduction to Ethics: Students explore modern social topics and moral dilemmas, applying Christ-centered principles to evaluate modern culture, honor human dignity, and live out gospel-centered values.
Through this guided pathway, academic rigor leads to personal transformation, equipping students to follow God’s calling wherever He leads them. Check out our full Bible Studies Catalog to learn more about each class.
The Rhythm of Gathering to Praise
While classroom study grows the mind, our weekly chapel services help strengthen the communal life of our school. Once a week, students leave their desks and come together for a dedicated time of worship, prayer, and biblical teaching.
The atmosphere in chapel is warm and relational. Our on-campus chapel team shares messages rooted in real life, encouraging students to consider how God is active in their peer relationships, family life, and daily decisions. These chapels remind us that faith can grow when we worship shoulder to shoulder in community across our campus.
Preparing Students for a Purposeful Future
At Bellevue Christian School, we recognize that God writes the ultimate story in each child’s life. We are grateful for the privilege of coming alongside parents during these formative years to offer guided expertise and daily spiritual encouragement.
When Bible study is both academic and devotional, students learn to view the world through the lens of God’s grace. They leave our classrooms equipped with wisdom, humility, and a clear sense of purpose. Whether you are currently part of our school family or exploring options through our Admissions process, we invite you to join us in praying for our students as they grow into faithful leaders this upcoming school year.
