Yet, as any member of our community knows, the true heartbeat of Bellevue Christian School has never been contained within the school’s walls. Right now, that heart is beating across the entire Pacific Northwest and beyond, carried in the footsteps of our students and families.
Education at Bellevue Christian School is a beautiful, ongoing rhythm of formation. While the desks are empty, the lessons of the classroom are actively finding life in the world. We often talk about learning as a form of worship, a way to love God with our whole minds. During summer, that worship simply changes its posture from study to service.
Beyond the Classroom Walls
We practice servant leadership not as a line item on a college resume, but as a natural overflow of our faith. When we teach our students that they are unique image-bearers of their Creator, we are also teaching them to see that same dignity in their neighbors. True scholarship naturally turns outward and compels us to look at the world around us and ask how we can extend God’s grace and love to others.
Our faculty and staff spend the academic year walking alongside students, fostering a sense of mentorship and peer support where iron sharpens iron. The goal of this intentional relationship building is discipleship. We want to prepare students to transform their world, connecting their unique gifts to a lifelong calling. When summer arrives, it becomes the perfect testing ground for this calling, a space where students transition from hearing the Word to becoming active doers of it.
The Summer Opportunity
The open calendar of July and August brings a rare kind of blank space into our lives. Without the structure of sports practices, homework, and daily schedules, our students have a unique canvas to paint a picture of God’s Kingdom right in their own neighborhoods. Servant leadership does not require a plane ticket; it simply requires an attentive heart and a willing spirit.

- Local Hospitality: Spending a morning volunteering at a local food bank or local community cleanup.
- Generational Connection: Checking in on an elderly neighbor, mowing their lawn, or simply sitting on the porch to share a cold lemonade and a story.
- Investing in the Next Generation: Serving as a counselor at a local church camp or VBS, guiding younger children with patience and joy.
Each of these acts is a form of stewardship, a way of managing our time and energy to reflect the love of Christ to a world that needs it.
