High School Math Teacher (Full-time or Part-time available)

Clyde Hill Campus| Clyde Hill, WA | 2019 – 2020 Academic Year

Salary: Placement on Salary Schedule (determined by prior experience and education)

Start Date: Around August 15th, 2019

Working Hours: Full-time; 1.0 FTE (Part-time assignment is also a possibility)

Responsibilities: Curriculum implementation and class management of High School Math classes.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington State Certification (required)
  • Math endorsement (strongly preferred)
  • Experience teaching Advanced Algebra or higher (preferred)

Additional Details:

Elementary Teacher (K – 6th)

Summary: Bellevue Christian School is now accepting applications for elementary teachers for the 2019 – 2020 academic school year.

Elementary Advanced Math Specialist

Three Points Elementary | Medina, WA | 2019-2020 School Year

Salary: Placement on Teacher Salary Schedule.

Closing Date: Open until position is filled

Working Hours: Part-time; (5 days per week)

 

Responsibilities:  Provide differentiated math instruction to students in grades 3-6 who accelerate in math. Plan and implement lessons for students to move at their preferred pace through math curriculum. Monitor and track individual student progress and regularly communicate with classroom teachers and parents.

 

Requirements: Valid Washington State Certification; OSPI fingerprint/background clearance; in agreement with BCS doctrinal statement.

Salary: $63 for 1-3 hrs/day; $136.50 for all day

Staff Positions

Preschool Assistant Teacher

Three Points Campus | Medina, WA | 2019 – 2020 Academic Year

Salary: Placement on the Preschool Salary Schedule

Start Date: August 2019

Working Hours: .306 FTE

Responsibilities:

•             Assist lead teacher in the implementation of curriculum and classroom management.

Requirements:

•             High school diploma

•             STARS basic training, health and safety requirements, and background checks to comply with WAC 110-300A

Summer and Extended Day Program Coordinator

District Wide – Clyde Hill, Medina & Woodinville

Working Hours: Full-Time; 1.0 FTE (12 months)

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Management & development of extended day programs and summer camps. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential.  Ability to multitask and work closely with campus principals, Athletic Director, teachers, facilities, outside vendors and central office staff needed while coordinating all aspects of these programs. Candidate must be a self-starter and able to assess current program and grow the camp and extended day club offerings to meet the interests of Bellevue Christian School families as well as families in the surrounding communities.

Qualifications (required):

  • 1 -2 years experience in coordinating and scheduling people/staffing, programs and facilities
  • 1-2 years experience researching, evaluating and designing programs within an educational setting
  • Certified in CPR/First Aid
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite

Qualifications (desired):

  • Experience working with children/youth in an educational or ministerial environment
  • Experience working with InDesign and Photoshop

Activity Bus Driver
District-wide | Designated Bus Routes Immediately Available!

Salary: Starts at $19.00 per hour DOE

Working Hours: 5 hours/day guaranteed during school year

Responsibilities: This person is responsible for driving a designated regular school bus route daily in an activity bus or van. Additional hours for athletic and special activities may be available.  Five hours a day guaranteed during school days.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 5 – 10 years of experience as a licensed driver.
    • Department of Motor Vehicles report will be required (driving abstract)
  • First–Aid / CPR card (required within 60 days of employment)
  • In agreement with the BCS Doctrinal Statement.
  • Ability to meet and maintain punctuality and attendance expectations
  • Fingerprinting with FBI background check is a part of employment.

  • Requires the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations and conditions.
  • Ability to communicate openly and honestly with fellow employees and public at large.
  • Ability to make decisions quickly and use good judgment.

Bus Driver

Salary: Starts at $22.66 – $23.00 per hour DOE

Closing Date: Open until position(s) filled

Working Hours: 5 hours/day guaranteed during school year

Responsibilities: This person is responsible for driving a designated regular school bus route daily. Additional hours for athletic and special activities may be available.  Five hours a day guaranteed during school days.

Requirements: Must be at least 25 years of age; a CDL type B with airbrakes. School bus “S’ endorsement is preferred but not required (will provide training for qualified applicants);  at least 5 years of experience as a licensed driver of a passenger vehicle, satisfactorily completed a school bus training course administered by an authorized school bus instructor, in agreement with the BCS Doctrinal Statement.  Must meet Washington State driving abstract standards for school bus drivers; fingerprinting with FBI background check is a part of employment.

Accounting and Payroll Specialist

District Office | Clyde Hill, WA

Working Hours: Full-Time; 1.0 FTE (12 months)

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask are essential in this Finance Department role. She/he will ensure all accounting guidelines and procedures are followed and a high level of confidentiality is exhibited.

Accounting:

Oversee cash receipts, ensuring proper deposit in bank and recording in G/L.

Perform monthly bank reconciliation, sales tax, and adjusting journal entries.

Assist the Director of Finance with year-end closing and audit.

Payroll and Benefits:

Primary processor of payroll for BCS, utilizing an outside payroll processing vendor.

Involved in administering benefit programs.

Qualifications (required):

AA in accounting (Additional experience considered in lieu of degree).

2-3 years applicable accounting experience.

Strong proficiency with Excel and accounting software packages.

Maintenance and Bus Driver

District-Wide | Clyde Hill, WA

Salary: DOE

Working Hours: 1.0 FTE (year-round); Non-exempt.

  • Variable full time hours. (Schedule at the discretion of the Transportation Manager)

Job Summary: Provide bus/activity bus and van driving services for students to and from school and after-school events as assigned. Provide district-wide maintenance services as directed throughout the year.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • The employee should model to students, colleagues, and the Bellevue Christian school community an attitude of Christ-like servanthood, cooperation, accuracy, and accountability. He/she must be prepared to answer questions with a spirit of patience and honesty. Conflicts that arise are to be resolved through the Matthew 18 principle
  • Ability to work unsupervised through the completion of a project or task
  • Comply with all state laws and regulations pertaining to facilities and specific products used, along with bus or van regulations.
  • Report accidents, student misconduct, troubles with the bus, and traffic hazards along the route.
  • Fuel buses, keep the interior and exterior of the bus clean and maintain a clean bus appearance. Check fluids; add fluids if needed and check belts. Perform pre-shift inspection before driving any BCS vehicle.
  • Ability to be flexible with changing transportation/maintenance duties throughout the school year.

Facilities and bus maintenance duties on vehicles

  • Keep facilities and transportation supplies up to date at all campuses
  • Perform minor vehicle maintenance repairs such as replace burned out light bulbs
  • Perform minor facilities repairs including plumbing, irrigation, electrical, painting and roofing
  • Be able to operate powered equipment including pressure washers, mowers, carpet cleaners, scrubbers and polishers

Qualifications (required):

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License with CDL and S endorsement (condition of employment)
  • (BCS will reimburse costs for CDL if acquired within 60 days of hire date) * Good driving record for past five (10) years;
  • Department of Motor Vehicles report will be required (driving abstract) * DOT physical card
  • (BCS will reimburse costs if acquired within 60 days of hire date) * First–Aid / CPR card (required within 60 days of employment)
  • May require the ability to lift 50lbs regularly and up to 75-100lbs occasionally
  • Required to complete a basic mechanical aptitude test.

Requirements:

  • Possess a High School diploma or equivalent.

Extended Day Afternoon Instructor

Three Points & Mack Elementary |Woodinville/Medina, WA

Salary: $18 per hour

Working Hours: Part-time, 3 to 4.5 hours per day.

– 2:30pm – 5:30pm and 1:00pm-5:30pm* on early dismissal days Monday – Friday

(*6:00pm for Three Points)

Responsibilities:

Extended Day Instructors are responsible the supervision and involved interaction with students brought to campus for Extended Afternoon Care. Responsibilities include supervision of homework time, playground and indoor activities, crafts along with transition of students to Extended Day Classes. Coordination with Extended Day Coordinator for all students login/out records, management of supplies and development of indoor activities.

Qualifications (required):

  • Certified in CPR/First Aid (or willingness to be certified as soon as possible upon hire)
  • Solid behavior management skills
  • Ability to plan, develop, organize and monitor meaningful/educational activities
  • Experience working with children/youth (preferably in an educational or ministerial environment)
  • A willingness to engage with children in varied activities

Salary: DOE

Working Hours: Part-time. Potential for variances based on need during the school year.

  • Monday – Friday (7:15am – 8:30am)

Responsibilities: Responsible for the care of elementary students before school hours. Supervision and involved interaction with students brought to campus for Extended Morning Care.

Requirements: Agreement and support of BCS Doctrinal Basis and Philosophical Foundations. Certified in CPR/First Aid (or willingness to be certified as soon as possible upon hire). Experience working with children/youth in an educational or ministerial environment.
