NILD Educational Therapist

Salary: Placement on the Certificated Salary Schedule

Working Hours: Flexible Part-time to Full-time, 192 days

Requirements: BCS offers NILD Educational Therapy as well as SEARCH and TEACH©. A complete job description is available upon request.

Responsibilities: The applicant must be able to follow the NILD guidelines in developing a one-on-one instructional program for students with learning differences, needs previous classroom experience, a valid Washington State teacher certification (or ability to obtain WA certification) and be in agreement with the BCS doctrinal statement. Applicant must be available for NILD summer training.

Chief Advancement Officer

Clyde Hill Campus | Clyde Hill, WA

Salary: DOE

Reports to: Head of School

Bellevue Christian School is a private school district serving over 1000 students in grades P – 12 on three campuses.  The operating budget of approximately $16 million includes $1.3 million in financial aid and family discounts.

Responsibilities: The Chief Advancement Officer at Bellevue Christian School will work with the Head of School and the advancement staff to implement the entire scope of fund development efforts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (Master’s preferred)
  • A minimum of five years of progressive experience in cultivating and soliciting individual donor gifts. Preference to those who have led campaigns previously, in positions of progressive responsibility.
  • Possess effective management and communication skills, an ability to provide strong leadership within the advancement department, and demonstrate operational skills that ensure tactical project management and successful fundraising.
  • It is important for a candidate to demonstrate a commitment to the academic institution, mission, and programs of Bellevue Christian School.

Preschool Classroom Assistant

Mack Campus, Woodinville, WA | 2019-20 Academic Year

Salary: DOE

Start Date: Around August 27, 2018

Working Hours: 3.5 hours per day, Monday and Tuesday mornings

Responsibilities:

•             Assist the preschool teacher in organizing, supervising, and implementing a program that supports young children.

Activity Bus Driver
District-wide | Designated Bus Routes Immediately Available!

Salary: Starts at $19.00 per hour DOE

Working Hours: 5 hours/day guaranteed during school year

Responsibilities: This person is responsible for driving a designated regular school bus route daily in an activity bus or van. Additional hours for athletic and special activities may be available.  Five hours a day guaranteed during school days.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 5 – 10 years of experience as a licensed driver.
    • Department of Motor Vehicles report will be required (driving abstract)
  • First–Aid / CPR card (required within 60 days of employment)
  • In agreement with the BCS Doctrinal Statement.
  • Ability to meet and maintain punctuality and attendance expectations
  • Fingerprinting with FBI background check is a part of employment.

Technology Coordinator

Three Points Elementary/Mack Elementary/Clyde Hill Campus | Medina/Woodinville/Clyde Hill, WA

 Job Summary: Bellevue Christian’s School’s mission is to prepare young people to live faithfully for God in a rapidly changing world with the ability to understand, evaluate, and transform their world from the foundation of God’s unchanging values. All employees must agree and support the BCS Doctrinal Statement.

This position provides solid local technical support services to all school campuses located in Clyde Hill, Medina, and Woodinville. Those services involve tracking, planning, provisioning, and support of Windows client-based systems and local server applications that support the curriculum of the school. Occasionally this position will triage network infrastructure issues and help facilitate necessary changes to maintain maximum uptime of the network. This is a customer interfacing position that requires interpersonal and technical communication skills.

Qualifications (required):

 

  • AA degree in technical field such as IT or equivalent experience. 
  • Effective interpersonal skills in supporting staff and students at campus locations.

Qualifications (desired):

  • Some knowledge of operating systems, including Windows Server, Windows 10, Unix variant or Apple platforms.
  • Entry level experience supporting Microsoft Active Directory domains and setup of accounts.
  • Some background with automated deployments.
  • Some understanding of email systems and desktop products.
  • Experience connecting computers/equipment to wired and wireless networks.

Maintenance and Bus Driver

District-Wide | Clyde Hill, WA

Salary: DOE

Working Hours: 1.0 FTE (year-round); Non-exempt.

  • Typical day may be 6:30am – 4:30pm with 2 hours off for lunch or 6:30am to 5:00pm with ½ hour lunch. (Schedule at the discretion of the Transportation Manager)

Job Summary: Provide bus/activity bus and van driving services for students to and from school and after-school events as assigned. Provide district-wide maintenance services as directed throughout the year.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • The employee should model to students, colleagues, and the Bellevue Christian school community an attitude of Christ-like servanthood, cooperation, accuracy, and accountability. He/she must be prepared to answer questions with a spirit of patience and honesty. Conflicts that arise are to be resolved through the Matthew 18 principle
  • Ability to work unsupervised through the completion of a project or task
  • Comply with all state laws and regulations pertaining to facilities and specific products used, along with bus or van regulations.
  • Report accidents, student misconduct, troubles with the bus, and traffic hazards along the route.
  • Fuel buses, keep the interior and exterior of the bus clean and maintain a clean bus appearance. Check fluids; add fluids if needed and check belts. Perform pre-shift inspection before driving any BCS vehicle.
  • Ability to be flexible with changing transportation/maintenance duties throughout the school year.

Facilities and bus maintenance duties on vehicles

  • Keep facilities and transportation supplies up to date at all campuses
  • Perform minor vehicle maintenance repairs such as replace burned out light bulbs
  • Perform minor facilities repairs including plumbing, irrigation, electrical, painting and roofing
  • Be able to operate powered equipment including pressure washers, mowers, carpet cleaners, scrubbers and polishers

Qualifications (required):

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License with CDL and S endorsement (condition of employment)
  • (BCS will reimburse costs for CDL if acquired within 60 days of hire date) * Good driving record for past five (10) years;

Working Hours: 5 hours/day guaranteed during school year

Responsibilities: This person is responsible for driving a designated regular school bus route daily. Additional hours for athletic and special activities may be available.  Five hours a day guaranteed during school days.

Requirements:

  • Possess a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A CDL type B with airbrakes. (condition of employment).
    • School bus “S’ endorsement is preferred but not required.
    • (BCS will reimburse costs for CDL if acquired within 60 days of hire date).
  • 10 years driving experience with a good driving record for the past (5 years).
    • Department of Motor Vehicles report will be required (driving abstract).
  • Satisfactorily completed a school bus training course administered by an authorized school bus instructor.
  • DOT physical card.
    • (BCS will reimburse costs if acquired within 60 days of hire date).
  • First–Aid / CPR card (required within 60 days of employment).
  • Ability to meet and maintain punctuality and attendance expectations.
  • In agreement with the BCS Doctrinal Statement.
  • Must meet Washington State driving abstract standards for school bus drivers.
  • Fingerprinting with FBI background check is a part of employment.

Educational Assistant – Elementary

Salary: Starting at $12.63 (DOE)

Start Date: As soon as possible

Working Hours: 5-30 hours per week (only during the school year, hours and days of the week may vary depending on need and can vary depending on applicants schedule).

Responsibilities:  The Educational Assistant will assist elementary school teachers by providing support for the classroom teachers and students. Responsibilities include directly assisting students, supporting teachers, and recess supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Must be prepared to work with a spirit of patience, honesty, adaptability and Christ-like love for children, teachers, and co-workers.

Extended Day Afternoon Instructor

Three Points & Mack Elementary |Woodinville/Medina, WA

Salary: $18 per hour

Working Hours: Part-time, 3 to 4.5 hours per day.

– 2:30pm – 5:30pm and 1:00pm-5:30pm* on early dismissal days Monday – Friday

(*6:00pm for Three Points)

Responsibilities:

Extended Day Instructors are responsible the supervision and involved interaction with students brought to campus for Extended Afternoon Care. Responsibilities include supervision of homework time, playground and indoor activities, crafts along with transition of students to Extended Day Classes. Coordination with Extended Day Coordinator for all students login/out records, management of supplies and development of indoor activities.

Qualifications (required):

  • Certified in CPR/First Aid (or willingness to be certified as soon as possible upon hire)
  • Solid behavior management skills
  • Ability to plan, develop, organize and monitor meaningful/educational activities
  • Experience working with children/youth (preferably in an educational or ministerial environment)
  • A willingness to engage with children in varied activities

Extended Day Morning Instructor

Working Hours: Part-time. Potential for variances based on need during the school year.

  • Monday – Friday (7:15am – 8:30am)

Responsibilities: Responsible for the care of elementary students before school hours. Supervision and involved interaction with students brought to campus for Extended Morning Care.

Requirements: Agreement and support of BCS Doctrinal Basis and Philosophical Foundations. Certified in CPR/First Aid (or willingness to be certified as soon as possible upon hire). Experience working with children/youth in an educational or ministerial environment.

Requirements: Individuals must be CPR/First Aid certified and competent in the specific sport needing coaching. Compliant with WIAA clock hours.
