Accounting and Payroll Specialist

Working Hours: Full-Time; 1.0 FTE (12 months)
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask are essential in this Finance Department role. She/he will ensure all accounting guidelines and procedures are followed and a high level of confidentiality is exhibited.
Oversee cash receipts, ensuring proper deposit in bank and recording in G/L.
Perform monthly bank reconciliation, sales tax, and adjusting journal entries.
Assist the Director of Finance with year-end closing and audit.
Payroll and Benefits:
Primary processor of payroll for BCS, utilizing an outside payroll processing vendor.
Involved in administering benefit programs.
AA in accounting (Additional experience considered in lieu of degree).
2-3 years applicable accounting experience.
Strong proficiency with Excel and accounting software packages.
BA in accounting
