Elementary Teacher (K – 6th)
Three Points (Medina) or Mack Elementary (Woodinville) | 2019 – 2020 Academic Year

Salary: Placement on Salary Schedule (determined by prior experience and education)

Start Date: Around mid-August 2019

Working Hours: Full-time; 1.0 FTE (contracted)

Summary: Bellevue Christian School is now accepting applications for elementary teachers for the 2019 – 2020 academic school year.

Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum implementation and class management of an elementary grade classroom.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington State Certification (required)

NILD Educational Therapist

Salary: Placement on the Certificated Salary Schedule

Working Hours: Flexible Part-time to Full-time, 192 days

Requirements: BCS offers NILD Educational Therapy as well as SEARCH and TEACH©. A complete job description is available upon request.

Responsibilities: The applicant must be able to follow the NILD guidelines in developing a one-on-one instructional program for students with learning differences, needs previous classroom experience, a valid Washington State teacher certification (or ability to obtain WA certification) and be in agreement with the BCS doctrinal statement. Applicant must be available for NILD summer training.

Substitute Teachers – All Levels
All Campuses | Ongoing

Salary: $63 for 1-3 hrs/day; $136.50 for all day

Working Hours: School Hours – will vary according to assignment

Responsibilities: Implement curriculum; class management of self-contained classroom

Staff Positions

Director of Admissions

Central Office | Clyde Hill, WA

Salary: $50,000 – $55,000

Working Hours: Full-Time (Year-round)

Job Summary:

The Director of Admissions will serve the Bellevue Christian School community by communicating the school mission and vision to prospective families. The Director of Admissions will lead prospective families through the inquiry, application and acceptance or decline process. The Director of Admissions will also manage data, prepare all admissions related materials and work closely with multiple departments including academics, finance, marketing, and technology to oversee and ensure a smooth application process for all families.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • To serve the Lord, families, administrators and students efficiently and enthusiastically as they investigate and pursue admissions. It is imperative to model respect for, understanding of, and clarity about the mission and goals of BCS to all those interested in being admitted.
  • To communicate effectively the mission and goals of BCS to a variety of constituencies and to embrace and promote the vision, mission and goals of BCS.
  • To serve as an effective member of the Superintendent’s team.
  • Respond to all inquiries in a timely, courteous and professional manner.
  • Manage part-time Admissions Counselor team member.

Marketing Support

  • Work collaboratively with the Superintendent’s Staff to design and distribute:
    Promotional materials, information and application packets, Open House and New Parent Seminar materials, and other appropriate mailings.
  • Maintain and update the Open House schedule and all Admissions information for the website and in written materials.
  • Register families for Open Houses and New Parent Seminars.
  • Coordinate family, parent and/or student visitations with campus Principals.
  • Oversee and message the Family Referral Program including management of data for the Finance Office.

Data Management and Reports

  • Efficiently track and translate key admissions information to: Superintendent, Director of Development, Finance, Principals, and the School Board as needed.
  • Oversee all family data, K-12.
  • Communicating withdrawals to leadership as appropriate.

Community Relations

  • Generally familiar with all facets of BCS and equipped to share information accurately.
  • Plans, gives and/or oversees campus tours and family/student visits.

Admissions Process

  • Create and provide timely updates of an admissions procedure manual.
  • Provide families and campuses information and application packets as needed.
  • Maintain regular contact with applying families to move them from inquiry, strategic visit, application to final acceptance or denial.
  • Coordinate and oversee application file screening process.

Alumni Relations:

  • Direct the BCS Alumni program with goal of increasing engagement through strategic stewardship and cultivation of events, reunions, and communications.
  • Direct the Alumni relations program with goal of increasing alumni involvement through: Alumni specific events during the year, reunions (5, 10 and 20 year) gatherings each summer, website presence, and Alumni exclusive social media information.

Qualifications (required):

  • Adhere philosophically and behaviorally with the ministry and tenets of Bellevue Christian School and exhibit a passion for BCS and its mission
  • Have exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Be detail oriented, capable of collecting vast amounts of data accurately, and efficiently translating it into useable information for others in a timely manner.
  • A knowledge and comfort with marketing and PR principles and multi-tasking skills.

Qualifications (desired):

  • Skill, knowledge and experience with MS Office applications.
  • Experience with school admissions software (RenWeb) preferred

Additional Details:

  • In conjunction with finance, guides the re-enrollment process.
  • Meet with the Superintendent as needed and participate in district prayer time.

Activity Bus Driver
District-wide | Designated Bus Routes Immediately Available!

Salary: Starts at $19.00 per hour DOE

Working Hours: 5 hours/day guaranteed during school year

Responsibilities: This person is responsible for driving a designated regular school bus route daily in an activity bus or van. Additional hours for athletic and special activities may be available.  Five hours a day guaranteed during school days.

Requirements: Must be at least 25 years of age; at least 5 years of experience as a licensed driver, and in agreement with the BCS Doctrinal Statement.  Fingerprinting with FBI background check is a part of employment.

Bus Drivers, Part-time or Substitute
District-wide | Designated Bus Routes Immediately Available!

Salary: Starts at $22.00 – $22.66 per hour DOE

Working Hours: 5 hours/day guaranteed during school year

Responsibilities: This person is responsible for driving a designated regular school bus route daily. Additional hours for athletic and special activities may be available.  Five hours a day guaranteed during school days.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 25 years of age.
  • A CDL type B with airbrakes. School bus “S’ endorsement is preferred but not required (will provide training for qualified applicants).
  • At least 5 years of experience as a licensed driver of a passenger vehicle.
  • Satisfactorily completed a school bus training course administered by an authorized school bus instructor.
  • In agreement with the BCS Doctrinal Statement.
  • Must meet Washington State driving abstract standards for school bus drivers.
  • Fingerprinting with FBI background check is a part of employment.

Educational Assistant – Elementary

Three Points and Mack Elementary |  2018 – 2019 Academic Year

Salary: DOE based on experience starting at $12.63

Start Date: As soon as possible

Working Hours: Approximately 30 hours per week (only during the school year)(hours may vary depending on need); Non-exempt

Responsibilities:  The Educational Assistant will assist elementary school teachers by providing instructional and behavioral support to students. Responsibilities include directly assisting students, supporting teachers, and recess supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Must be prepared to work with a spirit of patience, honesty, adaptability and Christ-like love for children, teachers, and co-workers.
  • All BCS employees must model to students, colleagues and the BCS community a commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and an attitude of Christ-like servant hood, cooperation, accuracy, and accountability.
  • Must be prepared to answer questions with a spirit of patience and honesty.  Conflicts that arise are to be resolved through the School’s “Resolving Differences” Policy.

Additional Details:

  • Operates semi-independently with minimal supervision,
  • Ability to follow classroom schedules and assignments given by teachers.
  • A willingness to work outside in variable weather conditions during recess assignments

Extended Day Afternoon Instructor

Three Points & Mack Elementary |Woodinville/Medina, WA

Salary: $18 per hour

Working Hours: Part-time, 3 to 4.5 hours per day.

– 2:30pm – 5:30pm and 1:00pm-5:30pm* on early dismissal days Monday – Friday

(*6:00pm for Three Points)

Responsibilities:

Extended Day Instructors are responsible the supervision and involved interaction with students brought to campus for Extended Afternoon Care. Responsibilities include supervision of homework time, playground and indoor activities, crafts along with transition of students to Extended Day Classes. Coordination with Extended Day Coordinator for all students login/out records, management of supplies and development of indoor activities.

Qualifications (required):

  • Certified in CPR/First Aid (or willingness to be certified as soon as possible upon hire)
  • Solid behavior management skills
  • Ability to plan, develop, organize and monitor meaningful/educational activities
  • Experience working with children/youth (preferably in an educational or ministerial environment)
  • A willingness to engage with children in varied activities

Extended Day Morning Instructor
Three Points and Mack Elementary 

Salary: DOE

Working Hours: Part-time. Potential for variances based on need during the school year.

  • Monday – Friday (7:15am – 8:30am)

Responsibilities: Responsible for the care of elementary students before school hours. Supervision and involved interaction with students brought to campus for Extended Morning Care.

Requirements: Agreement and support of BCS Doctrinal Basis and Philosophical Foundations. Certified in CPR/First Aid (or willingness to be certified as soon as possible upon hire). Experience working with children/youth in an educational or ministerial environment.

LRC Assistant
Clyde Hill Campus | 2018 – 2019 Academic Year

Salary: $12.93 – $13.45

Working Hours: Part-time; Monday and Thursday 7:45am – 4:00pm (during the school year)

Job Summary:

The Clyde Hill Campus is looking for a new LRC Assistant to support in the general duties of the LRC and support of the Librarian.

General Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Provide general supervision and maintain a clean, orderly environment
  • Manage circulation: check out, check in, and re-shelving of books
  • Assist students with research
  • Manage LRC and laptop cart schedules for teacher use

Job Summary:

The Clyde Hill Campus is looking for a Study Hall Supervisor to provide general supervision and help maintain an orderly and functional study Hall.

General Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise students and maintain an orderly, functional, study environment
  • Take attendance and manage student behavior
  • Assist students with staying on task and managing their assignments
