Junior High / High School Science Teacher

Clyde Hill Campus| Clyde Hill, WA | 2018 – 2019 Academic Year

Salary: Placement on Salary Schedule (determined by prior experience and education)

Working Hours: Full-time; 1.0 FTE (contracted)

Responsibilities: Curriculum implementation and class management of a JH / HS Science classes

Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington State Certification (required)
  • Science endorsement (strongly preferred)
  • Experience teaching chemistry or physical science (preferred)

NILD Educational Therapist

Salary: Placement on the Certificated Salary Schedule

Working Hours: Flexible Part-time to Full-time, 192 days

Requirements: BCS offers NILD Educational Therapy as well as SEARCH and TEACH©. A complete job description is available upon request.

Responsibilities: The applicant must be able to follow the NILD guidelines in developing a one-on-one instructional program for students with learning differences, needs previous classroom experience, a valid Washington State teacher certification (or ability to obtain WA certification) and be in agreement with the BCS doctrinal statement. Applicant must be available for NILD summer training.

Staff Positions

Accounting Manager
Central Office | Clyde Hill, WA

Salary: $60,000 – $69,000 DOE

Working Hours: Full-Time; 1.0 FTE (12 months)

Job Summary:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for maintaining the general ledger, internal controls, bank reconciliation and compliance reporting requirements. The Accounting manager will also act as the primary processor of payroll for Bellevue Christian School (BCS). She/he will ensure all accounting guidelines and procedure are followed and a high level of confidentiality is exhibited with a high degree of accuracy and accountability.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Accounting:

  • Make payments and transfers as requested and charge proper General Ledger accounts.
  • Monitor and document accounting systems and processes, recommending ongoing improvements that increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist the Director of Finance in the preparation of the budget and oversee monthly reporting.
  • Understand sales tax law and oversee the filing of monthly sales tax reporting.
  • Ensure an accurate and timely month end closing and prepare monthly bank and student billing reconciliations.
  • Assist the Director of Finance with year-end adjusting entries including: accruals, capital assets and depreciation, investments, release of restricted gifts etc.
  • Work with the Director of Finance to ensure a clean and timely annual financial audit and assist auditors by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
  • Oversee all state and federal reporting and licensing requirements.
  • Monitor banking and credit card relationships ensuring strong service and competitive pricing.
  • Manage daily department workflow by collaborating with the Finance team.
  • Provide training and guidance to new and existing staff as needed.

Payroll:

  • Primary payroll processor, ensuring all documents are received and deadlines are met.
  • Continually evaluate payroll processing vendor processes, periodically negotiating advantageous pricing. Recommend changes in vendors and processes when appropriate.
  • Maintain payroll database, employee payroll files and tracking spreadsheets.
  • Provide payroll reports to supervisors on a monthly and quarterly basis or as needed.
  • Process payroll related employment verification requests.

Qualifications (required):

  • AA in accounting
  • 3 – 5 years applicable accounting experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Fluent in MS Office

Qualifications (desired):

  • BA in accounting
  • 1 – 2 years Payroll related experience
  • Experience working with reports and file imports

Additional Details:

  • Assist with updating annual contracts as needed by serving as secondary preparer of contract worksheets.
  • Assist with processing and reviewing financial aid and scholarship applications.
  • Maintain student Accident Forms and provide school insurance information when requested.

Activity Bus Driver
District-wide | Designated Bus Routes Immediately Available!

Salary: Starts at $19.00 per hour DOE

Working Hours: 5 hours/day guaranteed during school year

Responsibilities: This person is responsible for driving a designated regular school bus route daily in an activity bus or van. Additional hours for athletic and special activities may be available.  Five hours a day guaranteed during school days.

Requirements: Must be at least 25 years of age; at least 5 years of experience as a licensed driver, and in agreement with the BCS Doctrinal Statement.  Fingerprinting with FBI background check is a part of employment.

Bus Drivers, Part-time or Substitute
District-wide | Designated Bus Routes Immediately Available!

Salary: Starts at $22.00 – $22.66 per hour DOE

Working Hours: 5 hours/day guaranteed during school year

Responsibilities: This person is responsible for driving a designated regular school bus route daily. Additional hours for athletic and special activities may be available.  Five hours a day guaranteed during school days.

Requirements: Must be at least 25 years of age; a CDL type B with airbrakes. School bus “S’ endorsement is preferred but not required (will provide training for qualified applicants);  at least 5 years of experience as a licensed driver of a passenger vehicle, satisfactorily completed a school bus training course administered by an authorized school bus instructor, in agreement with the BCS Doctrinal Statement.  Must meet Washington State driving abstract standards for school bus drivers; fingerprinting with FBI background check is a part of employment.

Communications Coordinator

Central Office | Clyde Hill, WA

Salary: $20.00 – $23.00 DOE

Working Hours: Full-Time; 1.0 FTE (year-round)

Job Summary:

The BCS Advancement Team is looking for an exceptional Communications Coordinator with proven skills and experience to help take our school’s internal and external communications to the next level. The Communications Coordinator, reporting directly to the Marketing & Communications Manager, is responsible for supporting Central Office communications through a diverse portfolio of mediums. We are looking for a service oriented professional, with a mind for community stewardship and cultivation. The Coordinator will work closely with all members of the Institutional Advancement Team, school administrators, teaching faculty, campus administrators, students and their families.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Communications, Technology and Creative Media proficiency

  • Support and increase efficiencies in BCS internal & external communications process and procedures.
  • Website, APP, social media, school communication portfolio development support.
  • Social Media & BCS APP oversight and/or community engagement coordination.
  • Provide support for BCS Parent Communications, school calendars, and databases.
  • Communication, advertising and marketing vendor customer service & management.
  • Communication campaign, product development and creative support
  • Communication resource data collection & reporting.
  • School event photography – article writing and publishing support.
  • Participation in BCS events, gatherings and outings as requested.

Qualifications (required)

  • Degree in Communications or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a communications, advancement, fundraising or operations type environment.
  • Strong verbal, written, technology, and communication skills.
  • Must be fluent in MS Office and basic database, website, and media applications.

Qualifications (desired):

  • Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge, WordPress, Sharpspring, SharePoint, Convio & MailChimp.
  • Previous professional experience with Social media.

Additional Details:

  • May periodically have to travel between campuses or remote site meetings for events and other school related functions.

Educational Assistant – Elementary

Three Points and Mack Elementary |  2018 – 2019 Academic Year

Salary: DOE based on experience starting at $12.63

Start Date: As soon as possible

Working Hours: Approximately 30 hours per week (only during the school year)(hours may vary depending on need); Non-exempt

Responsibilities:  The Educational Assistant will assist elementary school teachers by providing instructional and behavioral support to students. Responsibilities include directly assisting students, supporting teachers, and recess supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Must be prepared to work with a spirit of patience, honesty, adaptability and Christ-like love for children, teachers, and co-workers.

Extended Day Afternoon Instructor

Three Points & Mack Elementary |Woodinville/Medina, WA

Salary: $18 per hour

Working Hours: Part-time, 3 to 4.5 hours per day.

– 2:30pm – 5:30pm and 1:00pm-5:30pm* on early dismissal days Monday – Friday

(*6:00pm for Three Points)

Responsibilities:

Extended Day Instructors are responsible the supervision and involved interaction with students brought to campus for Extended Afternoon Care. Responsibilities include supervision of homework time, playground and indoor activities, crafts along with transition of students to Extended Day Classes. Coordination with Extended Day Coordinator for all students login/out records, management of supplies and development of indoor activities.

Qualifications (required):

  • Certified in CPR/First Aid (or willingness to be certified as soon as possible upon hire)
  • Solid behavior management skills
  • Ability to plan, develop, organize and monitor meaningful/educational activities
  • Experience working with children/youth (preferably in an educational or ministerial environment)
  • A willingness to engage with children in varied activities

Salary: DOE

Working Hours: Part-time. Potential for variances based on need during the school year.

  • Monday – Friday (7:15am – 8:30am)

Responsibilities: Responsible for the care of elementary students before school hours. Supervision and involved interaction with students brought to campus for Extended Morning Care.

Requirements: Agreement and support of BCS Doctrinal Basis and Philosophical Foundations. Certified in CPR/First Aid (or willingness to be certified as soon as possible upon hire). Experience working with children/youth in an educational or ministerial environment.

LRC Assistant
Clyde Hill Campus | 2018 – 2019 Academic Year

Salary: $12.93 – $13.45

Working Hours: Part-time; Monday and Thursday 7:45am – 4:00pm (during the school year)

Job Summary:

The Clyde Hill Campus is looking for a new LRC Assistant to support in the general duties of the LRC and support of the Librarian.

General Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Provide general supervision and maintain a clean, orderly environment
  • Manage circulation: check out, check in, and re-shelving of books
  • Assist students with research
  • Manage LRC and laptop cart schedules for teacher use
