Bellevue Christian is continuing to actively monitor changes related to COVID-19, plan for possible closures and take precautions to keep our campuses safe. Currently there are no confirmed cases of the disease in our school. We are preparing in case an emergency response is needed.
Should we need to close Bellevue Christian’s three campuses, we will notify you via email, texts, through social media and our website. If we need to coordinate distance learning in the event of a closure, we would appreciate it if one parent or guardian per family could complete this survey. It will help us determine if students have internet and computer access at home so we can plan and prepare for employing a distance learning model if one becomes necessary.
New recommendations released today from King County Public Health can be found HERE. They include guidance for people at higher risk for severe illness, workplaces, event and community gatherings, schools, for people who are sick and for the general public. Health officials do not recommend closing schools where there is NO confirmed case of coronavirus. However, it is likely we will be canceling non-essential school events in light of these new recommendations, please watch for specific communication about events.
We are closely monitoring the guidance provided by The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, King County Public Health and the WA State Health Dept. We are following the health and attendance of students and staff, and staying in touch with officials to minimize spread of the virus. We are continuing to disinfect thoroughly all areas of our campuses.
We ask for your continued patience and trust that this remains a top priority of school leadership. Please contact your campus office with any questions or contact me at the number above.
If your student is absent, please call your campus office and provide a reason for the absence, including symptoms if they are ill. This will help us monitor the health of our student body.
