School Leadership Positions

Director of Student Academic Services

District Wide | 2024-2025 School Year

Salary: $80,000 – $90,000, depending on experience

Job Summary:

The Student Academic Services (SAS) Director administers and supervises the NILD Educational Therapy Program on the three campuses of Bellevue Christian School. The SAS Director consistently models throughout all interactions an attitude of Christ-like servanthood, integrity, and accountability.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Therapists:

  • Supervise the educational therapists by modeling and providing feedback on precise and effective administration of educational therapy techniques
  • Advise educational therapists in selecting specific techniques, goals, and materials which best meet the needs of individual students
  • Meet on a regular basis with educational therapists to exchange information and evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention
  • Observe new students in the program, collaborate, and provide feedback with that student’s educational therapist
  • Conduct formal observations and evaluations for all staff members as described in department policies
  • Mentor new educational therapists by providing on-going meeting times for questions, technique review and feedback
  • Communicate with each educational therapist to ensure current status of Washington State and NILD certifications

Student Placement in SAS:

  • Assess students or assign relevant testing to complete assessments
  • Evaluate testing data, write initial testing report, determine if placement in the SAS program is appropriate, and communicate recommendations in a parent conference
  • Process applications for entrance into the program and coordinate with the Admissions team to maintain current waiting lists

Scheduling:

  • Assign students to educational therapists
  • Schedule academic course work for senior high students needing assistance
  • Assign therapy stations to educational therapists

Materials:

  • Oversee inventory of educational therapy materials
  • Order appropriate educational materials and equipment for the program

Budget:

  • Keep detailed records of student/therapist sessions for student billing department.
  • Meet monthly to discuss management of SAS department budget with Director of Finance.
  • Review and approve SAS department expenses.
  • Monthly reporting of sessions completed by Therapist to payroll department.
  • Plan and approve SAS therapist absences and substitutes.

Substitutes:

  • Schedule training sessions for department substitutes
  • Monitor performance of substitutes

Specific Responsibilities to the Broader BCS Community:

  • Review all admission files to determine possible academic or behavioral needs as part of the screening process for general school admission, as requested
  • Write 504 Plans for students who qualify for accommodations but are not in SAS
  • Oversee all 504 plans within the school
  • Process all requests for SAT/ACT for special testing concerns
  • Consult with parents of struggling students to discuss educational options, as requested
  • Consult with parents, teachers, and administrators on the behalf of students experiencing academic difficulties
  • Serve on school-wide committees, such as Curriculum
  • Serve on the Academic Administrative Team
  • Observe in classrooms and collaborate with teachers to determine accommodations/modifications and teaching strategies for students, as requested
  • Be available to serve on admission teams for students with learning difficulties

Qualifications (required):

Facilities Assistant Manager

General Responsibilities:

The Facilities Assistant Manager is an integral team member of the Facilities Department responsible for the outward appearance and upkeep of the school grounds and facilities at Bellevue Christian School. This individual will support the facilities needs at all District campuses.

  • Model an attitude of Christ-like servanthood, cooperation, accuracy, and accountability
  • Work with custodians when repair issues/projects at each campus are too time consuming for custodians to accomplish.
  • Work with Facilities Manager to scope/adjust projects, as necessary. Be accountable and responsible for every project assigned and do your best work in all situations.
  • Communicate with and assist teachers, staff and students as specific needs are requested via the ticketing system.
  • Immediately notify Facilities Manager of any safety or other areas of concern.
  • Display patience, honesty, and emotional constancy

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Check e-mail and Help Desk ticketing system daily for any current issues and assignments by the Facilities Manager. Respond, with detail, on how issue was resolved.
  • Ensure compliance with ticket submission for all facilities requests to ensure tracking of workflow and prioritization of resources.
  • Be a key part of the team that handles all general building repair/maintenance including, but not limited to:

  • During inclement weather, spray ice melting solution, as needed, to ensure safety for students and staff.

General Responsibilities:

Bus Driver

District-wide | Designated Bus Routes

Salary: $26.00 – $30.00 per hour

Working Hours: 5 hours/day guaranteed during school year, job share/part-time will be considered

Responsibilities:

  • This person is responsible for driving a designated regular school bus or van route daily.
  • Additional hours for athletic and special activities may be available.

Elementary Office Assistant

Mack Elementary Campus, Woodinville, WA

Salary: $18-21/hour

FTE: 0.56 FTE, 6.5 hours/day during the school year

Job Summary: Assist and support Campus Office Manager.

General Responsibilities:

The Elementary Office Assistant working in the elementary school office should model to students, colleagues and the Bellevue Christian School community an attitude of Christ-like servanthood, cooperation, accuracy and accountability. He/she must be prepared to answer questions with a spirit of patience and honesty. Conflicts that arise are to be resolved through the Matthew 18 principle.

  • The goal of Bellevue Christian School employees is to prepare young people to live fully for God in a rapidly changing world, with the ability to understand, evaluate and transform their world from the foundation of God’s unchanging values.
  • Attendance: Record all attendance records on the computer. Print a detailed report at the end of the report period. Call parents when absences are not reported.
  • First Aid/Health Room: Attend to the needs of the students; clean up wounds, apply ice packs. Attend to headaches, sore throats, tummy aches, bloody noses. Determine seriousness of illness and accidents: knowing when to call parents (even 911). Dispense medication as prescribed by family physician. Send letters to parents notifying of contagious diseases in school. Check immunization records calling parents when it is not current. Compile information for report to State of Washington yearly verifying status of all student immunizations.
  • General: Help with making copies, taking inventory, dispersing mail, ordering/filing IOWA test results, developmental readiness testing, report cards, etc. in CUM folders, putting pictures on CUM folders, as directed by the Office Manager. Prepare student field trip packets and parent driver forms, making a master list for teachers. Maintains and updates Mack website. Assist Principal with various duties when necessary.
  • PR: Help inquiring families by answering questions and giving enrollment information.
  • Milk: Receive orders at beginning of year. Keep list current, recalculating and ordering milk weekly.
  • Telephone: Be able to answer general questions about the school. Transfer call to appropriate person when needed.
  • Equipment: Have basic knowledge of copier operation and call for service repairs.

  • Must have STARS ID and completed the licensing pre-service requirements (background check, fingerprints, TB test)
  • Child Care Basics course, CPR/First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens & Food Handlers permit. 
  • Must be in agreement with BCS Doctrinal Statement
  • Demonstrated Christian commitment and relationship with Jesus Christ and being active in a local church. (required)
