2009-2010 Due Dates / Delivery Dates

IMPORTANT Info...

1. Scrip orders will be due on designated MONDAYS by the end of the school day. If Monday is a holiday, the orders are due on Tuesday morning by 9am.
2. Filled orders will be available for pick up on Fridays after 2pm. If there is no school on Friday, we will do our best to fill the orders on Thursday.
3. Due to the increased volume of orders, it is critical we receive all orders and checks by the MONDAY due dates. Late orders will be accepted but we may not be able to fill all the items.
4. Please fill out a TAPS registration form as soon as possible and return it with your scrip order. All forms are posted on the BCS website under "ParentLink".
5. Protect your scrip like cash and be aware of the expiration dates.
6. Plan ahead and order early...before the holiday rush!

BCS is offering the Tuition Assistance Program with Scrip (T.A.P.S.) to all families and supporters. As a school organization, we are able to buy gift certificates (referred to as "scrip") from National Scrip Center, Safeway, Fred Meyer and other merchants at a discount and resell them at face value, thereby raising funds for families and the school. The funds raised by your family can be applied toward your tuition, another family's tuition, or the general financial aid fund.

Scrip certificates can be used just like cash at the participating stores. Certificates have varying expiration dates from one or two years to no expiration dates at all. Some stores limit the amount of change that can be returned from a certificate purchase (refer to individual certificates).

The scrip fiscal year is January 1 – December 31. Tuition credits will appear on your February statement.

After you have filled out the TAPS registration form, you are ready to place an order...

Please follow these easy "How-To" Instructions:

1. Use the Order Form provided. Next to each store, indicate the amount of certificates you are ordering. (Order forms are available at all BCS offices, on the website and in the Monthly Home Bulletin.)
2. Add up your total order from both sides of the form.
3. Fill in your name, phone number, child’s name, grade and teacher, and method of delivery.
4. Enclose a check made payable to Bellevue Christian School.
5. Enclose the registration form with your first order. Be sure to sign the disclaimer if certificates are to be sent home with your child.
6. Seal your order and registration form in an envelope and send with your child to school, or drop off at any BCS office no later than 9:00 AM on or before the designated due date.
7. The orders will be delivered or available for pick up on Friday after 2:30PM.

Policies of the Bellevue Christian School Tuition Assistance Program with Scrip (T.A.P.S.)

1. A registration form must be completed each school year, and enclosed with your first order. An "account" or family number will be assigned to each family registering for T.A.P.S. Relatives or friends may help you with your tuition reduction by ordering certificates on your family account. It would be helpful to place all orders for your number in one envelope.
2. The percentage earned on each participating family's account will be held by BCS and credited to your account during July.
3. T.A.P.S. is being offered to promote the education of students at Bellevue Christian School; therefore, the money collected on your family account will only be paid to Bellevue Christian School for tuition reduction for preschool through 12^th grade. If your child(ren) no longer will attend Bellevue Christian School for whatever reason, the monies held under your family number will be transferred to the General Financial Aid Fund, or if received in writing this money can be credited to another family’s tuition. All written notices must be received within 60 days of the time the child(ren) leave the school.
4. A disclaimer of responsibility form must be signed for each school year before certificates will be released to your child. These forms will be kept on file. Your child will only received the envelope with certificates ordered under your family number. If you have more than one student in BCS, you need to choose one designated student to pick up your certificates. If there is a change, we need to be notified in writing.
5. All completed orders are due on Monday at the end of the school day. If Monday is a holiday, the orders are due on Tuesday. Late orders will be accepted and filled with inventory on hand.
6. Filled orders are available for pick up on Fridays after 2:30 PM. The office hours are 8:30 - 3:00 PM on regular school days. A friend or relative may also pick up your certificates for you, provided they sign a form available in the office. Preschool and elementary grade students designated to bring certificates home will be given their certificates by their teachers. Junior High and High School students designated for picking up the certificates can do so from their school office. If the designated child to pick up your certificates is sick, the teacher will bring back your order to their school office. The certificates will be held in this office until picked up by the parent or by the student when he/she returns to school.
7. We will not accept cash. Checks only please. The checks are not tax deductible because you receive dollar-for-dollar value
8. These Gift Certificates are just like cash. Bellevue Christian School cannot accept responsibility for lost or misplaced certificates.
