Bellevue Christian School (BCS) is a private, interdenominational Pre-K through 12th grade Christian school emphasizing strong academics and service within a Christ-centered curriculum. The student body is drawn from a broad geographic area including King County and part of Snohomish County. The city of Bellevue (pop.117,000) is adjacent to Seattle on the east side of Lake Washington, one of the state's fastest growing areas. Bellevue Christian School includes one high school (9-12), a junior high school (7-8), two elementary schools (K-6, Woodinville and Bellevue) and two preschools (Woodinville and Bellevue which will be housed at the elementary campuses in September 2009). The junior high and high school campus are located in the town of Clyde Hill within Bellevue.
BCS is approved by the State of Washington and accredited by Christian Schools International and the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools. Total high school enrollment: 347 students; total junior high enrollment: 159; total elementary enrollment: 481 and total preschool enrollment: 173. Ethnicity reflects the demographics of the local community as follows: 82% Caucasian; 9.5% Asian/Pacific Islander; 1% African American; 1.5 Hispanic; 6% other.
