JH-HS Bookstore

As the new year begins we are very pleased to announce an important new alliance for our students and their families!

In an effort to meet the textbook purchasing needs of our JH/HS students in a way that will best serve our students and families, we have made the decision to to partner with University Bookstore.

The decision to change was made after meeting with the University Bookstore team to make sure they are a great fit for our school, checking references and evaluating competitors.  We are very pleased with what we found with regard to University Bookstore. We have found their staff to be very helpful, knowledgeable and welcoming.  They are the source of textbooks for many local private schools who have spoken very highly of their relationship with the store.  We also ran this idea by a number of BCS parents who supported this move.

The change will take place immediately (we are in the process of transferring our inventory to University Bookstore).  ***This is especially important for parents of 8th graders (there is a new textbook which will need to be purchased at University Bookstore.)  It is also important for parents of 12th graders who will be taking Politics and Government 2nd semester.  (Please see question #2 on the Question/Answer sheet for an explanation of what will be happening with those classes.)

The attached “Bookstore Change FAQ” sheet should answer most of the questions.  Also, please read the “Welcome Letter” University Bookstore has asked us to send on their behalf.  If you would like further information feel free to e-mail or call Linda Sorensen at the BCS Student Store at lsorensen@bcsmail.org or 425-454-4028 ext. 127.

We look forward to a long relationship with University Bookstore as they seek to meet your textbook needs.
