Wow! Thanks for caring to read
about me! J
I grew up in Edmonds in a very loving
Christian family (my "little" brother and I are still
super friends). I went all the way through the Edmonds School District
and am very thankful for all the teachers who cared for me. Once I
graduated I went to Seattle Pacific University. I had many great
experiences, learned a lot (both in and out of my classes), grew closer
to the Lord and made many life-time friendships there... including my
hubby.
Both Mike and I had the
opportunity to compete on SPU's track team. Due to many long track trips
in the school's vans, we became great friends in our first two years and
then our junior year (April 1st to be exact) we started "seeing each
other." Mike was the big, hunky shot putter and discus thrower. I was
supposed to be a heptathlete but stunk at it so I turned into a 400
meter hurdler.
After we graduated we both got
teaching jobs at BCS. During that year we got engaged and that next
summer became Mr. and Mrs. Olson. Four years later along came Anna, then
two years later Molly, then three years after that sweet little Brett.
And here we are!
I am very thankful to my dad for
making it possible for me to work here. Most weeks he goes into his job
between 5 and 6 am just so he can come over to our house to watch the
kids from 8 to 11 am and then goes back to work! He is so good
and his grandchildren adore him. Thanks Dad!! |
