The Internet Movie Database
This is a great place to visit if you want to find information about movie credits (i.e., director, actors and their roles, technical personnel, awards,) including links to additional information. The data is provided, in a large part, by contributors from all over the world.
Movie Mom
Reviews of past and current films from the parent's point of view. "The reviews on the site are written by the Movie Mom herself, Nell Minow, a film critic and mother of two teenagers." Film Appreciation and the Study of Film
Based on the Book
Lists films that were based upon a published book. It lists the title of the book, film, author of the original book, and year of the film's release. All movies listed have been released in 1980 or later, and give the most recent version of the film.

Excellent source of information about most of the very best films of all times. The reviews and background information provided are top notch, and go deeply into the film's background, characters, plot and related films. Very interesting website that is entertaining and informative. Includes sections on film quotes, famous scenes, film posters, and much more!
No Place for A Woman
Check here to learn about a style of film called "film noir". This genre arose during and after WWII, and often centered on detectives, and especially included mysteries. One of the most famous of these was "The Maltese Falcon". This website includes a number of helpful essays, as well as links to a wealth of information about films of this type.
