About the Library

The Library is open from 7 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday. Any member of the school family is welcome to use the Learning Resource Center. The library is also open to the community if special needs arise.

Standard library material is checked out for four weeks at a time. Students needing material longer may renew if no one else has placed a reserve request. Reference material may be checked out for one hour, or overnight. Overnight check outs are due BEFORE 8:30 am the following school day. There is a $.50 fine PER HOUR, beginning at 8:30 am.

The Learning Resource Center is named in memory of Willa Penn Dorning Krick, the great-grandparent of some BCS students. She was a high school English teacher who loved books. She also taught homebound students. Mrs. Krick was a teacher in the first school in the country for unwed mothers. She is remembered for her compassion of teenagers as well as her Christian faith.
