Giving to BCS |
For more than half a century, the Bellevue Christian School community has supported each other. We have prayed together, volunteered our time and shared our resources.
Faithful parents, parents of alumni, staff, graduates, businesses and foundations have come together to invest in every BCS student as they learn, grow and become Christian leaders. God has been faithful. The BCS Development staff is honored to coordinate fundraising, produce publications, work with alumni and market the school.
Fundraising
Every year we ask for your prayerful gift to the BCS Annual Fund that supports 10% of the school’s operational needs. (That’s $1M in 08-09). We work to keep you advised of the needs of our students and school and we need your help. Annual Fund gifts benefit every student, every program and every teacher, on every campus. In addition, it helps families by keeping tuition as low as possible.
As part of the Annual Fund Drive , the department has worked with hundreds of energetic volunteers for 32 years to produce the BCS Gala Dinner and Auction—save the date: March 20, 2009! Our auction has grown into an evening of great fellowship and school support. In 2008, an extraordinary $423K was raised for BCS students at the gala.
Ongoing fundraising includes assisting with planned giving, gifts in kind and sharing endowment giving opportunities.
Publications
Publications produced by the Development Department include the weekly
E Bulletin, the Gillayon (annual BCS magazine), web content and an Annual Financial Report. Other communications include press releases, public service announcements, advertising, inclement weather and emergency communications and special publications.
Alumni Fellowship
It is an exciting task to keep in touch with our graduates—they live all over the world serving in their homes, churches, businesses and missions. The department works closely
with the BCS Alumni Fellowship—some 2,000 strong—to support reunions, homecoming events and cultivate financial support.
