News BCS Calendar Committee is currently meeting
over the next several months to recommend a 3-yr. school calendar (2009-2010
through 2011-2012) to the BCS School Board. The Committee will seek
feedback from the BCS Community throughout the process on various issues. Your comments are greatly appreciated & will help our committee make
effective decisions. Our current survey takes less than a minute to complete
& will close tonight--Tues., Feb. 19. A little over 25% of our
families have responded--let your voice be heard! Please limit your
response to the question posted--future surveys will allow feedback on other

News Our Annual Fund drive is currently in progress...can you believe the year is half over? Your gift--no matter the size--supports every student on every campus. Opportunities Every BCS Family is encouraged to volunteer 30 hours-- just 3 hours monthly--at any campus. If you are a BCS group needing volunteers for an upcoming event/activity or for a regularly scheduled event, contact Lynelle Coyle: lcoyle@bellevuechristian.org with a brief (1-3 sentence) description of what is needed and include a contact name and email. Service Opportunity during State Basketball in Yakima: BCS Boosters is organizing a community service event for anyone--students & parents-- interested in serving at the Union Gospel Mission of Yakima on Sat., March 1, 8:30 – 10:30 AM or longer, depending on the workload & game schedule. Volunteers--bring work gloves if possible--there may be opportunities to sort food along with maintenance of grounds. Early Dismissal, 1 PM BCS is hosting the International Children’s Network Choir Matsiko, Feb. 19-21. They will perform at our chapel Tues., Feb 19th @ 8:45-9:15 AM. Matsiko gets it name from the Ugandan word for "hope" & the children sing songs that give just that to those who listen. An ICN Matsiko performance includes much more than the children's beautiful harmonies. During the concert they share cultural dances, act out dramas & perform some of the most powerful & complex drum routines ever heard. When you see the choir in action, your heart will melt as the children share their individual stories of how sponsorship has forever changed them. You will not want to miss this event. tuition statement. If your account has an overall credit, you will not
receive a statement Opportunities to Support BCS Financially Tuition supports 90% of
the BCS Budget each year. We ask each family to prayerfully consider
supporting BCS financially, above and beyond tuition. The most
important and cost effective gift is one to the Annual Fund. After
that, there are many fun ways to support BCS programs and students!
