BCS Weekly E-bulletin

Congratulations BCS Seniors Tom Greene, Brian Stacy and Faith Xue recognized as Commended Scholars in the 2008 National Merit Scholarship Program! Commended students placed among the top five percent of more than 1.4 million students who took the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholar Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) last October.

2007-08 BCS Directories are here! If youngest student in your family is in grades 7-12, please stop by the Admissions Office to pick up your copy. If the youngest in your family is in preschool--grade 6, it will be sent home with your child. Volunteer Opportunities

Every BCS Family is encouraged to volunteer 30 hours-- just 3 hours monthly--at any campus. 

If you are a BCS group needing volunteers for an upcoming event/activity or for a regularly scheduled event, contact Lynelle Coyle: lcoyle@bellevuechristian.org

with a brief (1-3 sentence) description of what is needed and include a contact name and email. 

 

All Campuses

All Parents interested in supporting BCS Athletics:  Boosters 1st meeting of the year is Oct. 11*. We need parent reps from each Varsity & JV sport to be involved.  Meetings are held on the 2nd Thurs of ea month, 7-9 PM beginning in Oct. as indicated on the BCS website: http://www.bellevuechristian.org/content-en/athletics_new/boosters.php  Contact Rob Young for more info: robyo@microsoft.com *Previous date changed.

 

District Office

Development office needs volunteers to stick labels & stuff envelopes for large mailings. If you can help, please email sfindlay@bellevuechristian.org w/ your email info. When a project comes up, we’ll send out a request for helpers. We can also bundle up a 1-2 hour project to take home to assemble & return next day-easy way to contribute volunteer hours.

 

Finance office needs a volunteer 1+ hour weekly to help on a regular basis. Must be organized w/ an eye for detail. Help with data entry, filing & misc.office tasks. Join us & find out that accountants have fun too! Contact Birage Tandon at 425 454 4402 ext 203 or btandon@bellevuechristian.org

PTF needs you to join us in planning events to honor our JH/HS faculty & staff! Meeting each month in the large conference room-JH/HS campus from 1:30-3 PM. Mack Elementary  Volunteers needed to coordinate & run cakewalk at the upcoming carnival. Please contact Kim Jewett: sjewett2@aol.com if you are interested in helping. Look for sign-ups outside the classrooms to donate cakes -- we'll need hundreds of them!

Jog-a-Thon Update...We reached our goal of $25,000 in pledges! Fri., Oct. 12 is the deadline to collect all monies & turn them in to your child's classroom. Let's finish strong!

HS Math Open House: Mon., Nov. 1, learn more about the BCS math program, our students' performance, curriculum alternatives being considered for next year and the process we are following to reach a decision. Opportunity to review some of the data from BCS & outside studies & give feedback re your student's experience in math.

 

Senior College Info Night: Tues., Oct. 9, 7 -8:30 PM. All seniors planning on applying to any 4-year college should attend the College Information Night on Tues., Oct. 9.  Mrs. Dierdorff will review the college admission process as well as procedures for requesting transcripts & recommendations specific to BCS. Opportunities to Support BCS Financially

Tuition supports 90% of the BCS Budget each year.  We ask each family to prayerfully consider supporting BCS financially, above and beyond tuition.  The most important and cost effective gift is one to the Annual Fund.  After that, there are many fun ways to support BCS programs and students!
