News All BCS Families: we have a
"surprise" for you! Look for your BCS car decal coming soon. (peel
on/off) All JH/HS families will receive one when they pick-up their BCS
Directory at the District Office; elementary families will receive with their
weekly campus mailings. Don’t miss this evening of worship, reflection, celebration & transformation! Join us on Oct. 19, 7-9 PM, Greene Commons, Clyde Hill campus for a night that will invite & challenge you to examine your heart, explore God’s call & imagine possibilities. Take part in an experience that may enliven the mission of BCS, our community, our world-in a transforming way. Discover what happens when God’s people get on the move. Childcare provided by trusted BCS community members. Come early-6 PM to view the powerful, 60-min-long documentary, re: children of North Uganda. Film is high-school & beyond appropriate. Opportunities Every BCS Family is encouraged to volunteer 30 hours-- just 3 hours monthly--at any campus. If you are a BCS group needing volunteers for an upcoming event/activity or for a regularly scheduled event, contact Lynelle Coyle: lcoyle@bellevuechristian.org with a brief (1-3 sentence) description of what is needed and include a contact name and email.
District
Office Development office needs volunteers to stick labels & stuff envelopes for large mailings. If you can help, please email sfindlay@bellevuechristian.org w/ your email info. When a project comes up, we’ll send out a request for helpers. We can also bundle up a 1-2 hour project to take home to assemble & return next day-easy way to contribute volunteer hours. Finance office
needs a volunteer 1+ hour weekly to help on a regular basis. Must be
organized w/ an eye for detail--data entry, filing & misc. office tasks.

Points Elementary All School Carnival is
coming! YES...we will have the
traditional cake walk & need many decorated cakes & cupcakes. Along
w/ the traditional cake walk, we are having an all new cup cake walk for the
younger children in the Commons. Bring your masterpiece creations to school October
26--volunteers will be in the Three Points chute receiving cakes.
Cakes may also be dropped off at Clyde Hill campus. We need you to:
*help with the cake walk, cupcake walk, & bouncy toy (ideal for parents
w/ younger kids) Shifts are 30 min.; 5:30--8PM.

Please mark your calendars to attend a parent information meeting on Thurs., Nov. 1, 6:30-7:30 PM in the Commons. All 8th grade parents are encouraged to attend. This meeting will provide important info about the day & week long trips that will occur in Dec., May & June + an opportunity for interested Leaders to meet one another & receive application materials. breakfast on Wed. Bring your calculator & #2 pencil. Leave cell
phone/backpack in locker. Testing room assignments will be
posted. Important: arrive to school before 9 AM start time. Period
6 & 7 classes will meet as usual. *10th
graders: Report to assigned classrooms--will be posted--at 9 AM-lunch
time to take Pre-ACT Test (PLAN). Arrive well rested & have a healthy
breakfast on Wed. Bring a calculator & #2 pencil. Leave cell

graders: Report to LRC 8:20 AM for service project orientation planned
with students' science & English classes. At 9 AM students take
buses to a Mercer Island park to work on habitat restoration. Dress
for outside work & bring a change of clothes to leave at BCS + sack lunch
to eat at project site. Students return 1:30 PM & meet in Greene
Commons period 7 to discuss, reflect & write a response to the day’s
activities. No regular classes. HS Math & Science Focus
Group Meetings: Meet with the HS principal & faculty to discuss program
& curriculum initiatives that will ensure the most effective programs
& support for all our students. 3 meetings in large conference room in HS
