Development

The BCS Development Department supports the ministry of Bellevue Christian School through marketing, community relations, fundraising, alumni coordination, and stewardship education. All parents are encouraged to contribute to the school through tax-deductible gifts, according to their means. The department also seeks funding from non-parent donors, corporations, and foundations. The two major all school fundraising events are the Fall Annual Fund Campaign and the spring dinner auction. The department also coordinates any internal fundraising done by specific campus groups or students.

The Development Department fundraising activities at BCS include the Annual Fund which raises money each year for the school's general operating budget, specific capital campaigns for new facilities construction, gifts for endowment, funding for special projects, and grant writing.

Publications produced by the Development Department include the Home Bulletin (monthly newsletter), BCS e-Bulletin (weekly), the Gillayon (BCS magazine), the content for the web, the directory, and an annual report. The office also creates and distributes press releases, public service announcements, and articles about BCS for area media and maintains a growing photo bank for publication use.

Finally, the Development Department works closely with BCS’s alumni fellowship to communicate news about the school, to cultivate financial support, and to plan events like the annual homecoming reunion, Spring luncheon, VIP Dinner, the alumni basketball game, and class reunions.
