Bellevue Christian sends four golfers to State

The BCS boys and girls golf teams will be represented at the WIAA State Golf Championships in DuPont, WA on May 22 and 23.

Spencer Findlay and Bo Foster made the cut for the boys and Olivia Waham and Carolyn Langdon made the cut for the girls.

All four BCS golfers will tee off on Tuesday, May 22 at the Home Course in DuPont.  For tee times please go to the WIAA home page.

BCS Boys Soccer Back in State Tournament

The BCS Boys Soccer team won a hard fought game vs. Lynden Christian this past Saturday at Interlake HS in Bellevue, 3 to 1.  With the Tri District win BCS is in the WIAA state tournament.

The BCS boys will be playing against Chelan in Chelan on Wednesday, May 16 in the first round!

BCS Track and Field do well in League Championships

The BCS boys track and field team took home the Emerald City League Track and Field Championship after two days of competition.  The Vikings were lead by Michael Antosz (110 HH), Austin Razor (300 hurdles) and Scottie Miller (Discus) who won their events.

The BCS girls track and field team finished in second place in the ECL Championships.  The girls were led by Bree Oldham (100 HH and 300 hurdles), Meredith Lampe (200 meters) and Emilie Catlett (javelin) as event winners.  The girls 4 X 200

Basketball Teams Lose Tough Games in the New Regional Basketball Format

The boys and girls basketball teams lost tough games in the new WIAA Regional basketball format.  THe first round of state games were played at Glacier Peak HS.  The boys lost a tough game to Toledo HS.  The girls team lost a heartbreaker to Castle Rock HS.  Both teams should be proud of their seasons success, both teams worked hard and had a great season.

Bellevue Christian Names New Baseball Coach

Bellevue Christian is proud to announce that Mr. Scott Nelson has been named head baseball coach.  Coach Nelson was the head JV coach at Skyline HS the past two years and played at Biola University in Southern California in his college years.  Coach Nelson works for Young Life in the Issaquah area.  The BCS community is excited for the upcoming season and excited to have Coach Nelson to lead the baseball team this year!

BCS Boys and Girls Basketball Teams Win League Championship

Congratulations to the boys and girls basketball teams as they both won Emerald City League Championship games Thursday, February 9. 

The boys beat Seattle Academy in a hard fought game 41 - 40.  The boys will now host a Tri District game at Bellevue Christian on Tuesday, February 14.  The game will be at 7:30 and the boys will play the winner of Life Christian and Friday Harbor.

The girls beat Cedar Park Christian 45 - 34 in the girls championship game of the Emerald CIty League.  Each team

Bellevue Christian will again be hosting the 1A Regional Wrestling for the WIAA.  Come out and support the Vikings and watch some of the best wrestlers in the 1A classifcation.  Wrestling will be on three mats all day starting at 10am.

BCS Fall Sports Athletes earn All-League Honors

Congratulations to the following BCS athletes that were selected to their respective Emerald City All-League teams for the fall sports season of 2011:

Boys Golf: Bo Foster, Spencer Findlay, and Hayden Jacobsen. Ryan Dierdorff Coach of the Year.

Girls Soccer: Paige Miller-Second team.

Volleyball: Kellie Hartford, Meredith Lampe, and Emily Stoppler-First Team. Emily Stoppler was also Rookie of the Year.

Boys Cross Country: Daniel Nortz, Jordan Markezich, and Kyle Smit.

BCS Names New Girls Varsity Soccer Coach

 It is with great pleasure that I would like to announce Mr. Nathan Miller as the new head soccer coach of the Varsity Girls soccer program at Bellevue Christian School.

 

Coach Miller has an extensive soccer background playing in high school in Colorado as well as 3 years at George Fox University in Oregon.  His coaching background includes many teams on Whidbey Island when he lived there as well as JV boys soccer at Coupeville HS.  He has officiated and coached other sports at the HS level

BCS Parents and BCS student athletes,

 

Please note the following information regarding fall sports for JH and HS students at BCS.

 

All BCS students that want to participate in BCS athletics need to have all of their paperwork turned into the athletic office before they will be allowed to start practicing. 

 

Physicals are good for 24 months, most BCS students will need physicals in their 7th, 9th, and 11th grade years.

 

All other paperwork needs to be turned in every year as family

BCS Boys and Girls Track and Field Competes at State, BCS Girls Bring Home Third State Championship in a Row!

Congratulations to the BCS Girls Track and Field Team as they won their third consecutive State Championship!

The BCS girls were led by Seniors Mackenzie Altig and Bridget Ralston.  Altig placed third in the 100 high hurdles, long jump, and triple jump, as well as eighth place in the 300 hurdles.  Ralston finished second in the 100 high hurdles and 300 hurdles.  She was also a part of the forth place 4 X 200 relay team and state champion 4 X 400 relay team.  Junior Bree Oldham won the 300

BCS Baseball loses two tough games and finishes Forth at State.

The BCS Baseball returned to the semi finals of the WIAA Baseball Championships for the first time since 2002.  The baseball lost the semi final game to eventual state champion Chimacum HS, 6 to 4 in a tough hard fought game.

On Saturday the BCS baseball team came back and played a very good Meridian HS team in the consolation game and lost another hard fought game of evenly matched teams, 5 to 2 to finish 4th place in State.

BCS Track and Field Teams Headed to Cheney for State Track and Field.

The BCS boys and girls track and field teams will be represented well in the Track and Field  State Championships this week Friday and Saturday on the campus of Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Washington.

The girls team will be lead by seniors Mackenzie Altig, Bridget Ralston as well as Bree Oldham, Noelle Crosby, Carly McClintock, Meredith Lampe, Emilie Catlett, Isabella Chaffey, Kenzie Clark and Ali Vitalone.

BCS Baseball on to the Semi Finals!

The BCS baseball team won two games this past weekend in Wenatchee, WA.  The BCS baseball team won a hard fought game vs. Cashmere in game one, 1 - 0.  JoJo Howie went the distance in getting the win with 10 k's and no walks.

In game two the Vikings bats came alive in a 16 - 3 win over Columbia Burbank.  The Vikings had 21 hits in the victory.  JoJo Howie hit 2 home runs and Nat Townsend got the win.

The BCS boys and girls golf teams will be represented at the WA state 1A Golf Championships again this year!  The boys golf team will be represented by Junior Bo Foster as well as Freshman Spencer Findlay.  The girls team will be represented by Seniors Kristen Lawler and Mackenzie Findlay as well as Junior Carolyn Langdon.  Both boys and girls teams will play at The Home Course in DuPont.

BCS Girls Golf Team Wins League Championship

Congratulations to the BCS girls golf team for winning the Emerald City League Championship on Tuesday, May 10.  The girls team lead by coaches Karen Johnson and Heather Tuininga went undefeated in league play and then won the league tournament.  Senior Kristen Lawler was the medalist of the tournament shooting an 85.  All six girls going to the league tournament will move on to the Tri District Tournament.  The girls making it on to the Tri District Tournament are Kristen Lawler, Mackenzie
