Welcome to BCS
“Fix your eyes on Jesus.” Those five words from Hebrews tell us all we need to know about how to live a God-pleasing life. Of course, how we accomplish that in a world filled with shiny objects and encouragement to do whatever feels good is no easy task. Thus, the mission of Bellevue Christian School: To prepare young people to live fully for God in a rapidly changing world with the ability to understand, evaluate, and transform their world from the foundation of God’s unchanging values.
BCS is not simply a school. It is a community that includes our alumni, past and present parents and grandparents, current and former teachers, our students and all those who have given of time, talent and treasure in support of a truly unique educational mission. Embracing a heritage now nearly seven decades old, BCS holds fast to the eternal values of God while providing an education that is fundamentally sound yet informed by all we know about how students learn.
Fundamental to the success of BCS is its commitment to diversity. A demanding curriculum, enriched by an array of Advanced Placement courses, prepares students for admission to the most rigorous colleges and universities. Students who learn in non-traditional ways will find support as well. All students have access to participation in the arts, athletics, speech, and service opportunities. Through its International Student Program, our students sit side-by-side with students from nations around the world.
One of the hallmarks of a great school is the smiles you see on the faces of children as they go through their daily routine. If you are not part of the BCS community yet, I encourage you to pay us a visit. Whether you are at Mack, Three Points or Clyde Hill, the positive impact our teachers have on our students is evident in the joy students have in coming to school each day. Please join us in the awesome work of preparing young people to live fully for God.
